One important thing to note is that you have to dry the "cup" where it connects to the piping with a thin rolled up piece of kitchen roll completely before pumping otherwise water travels through the piping into the pump itself. Only happened to us once and we soon learned what the issue was. The manufacturers solution was to buy new piping but clean pressurized air done the trick saving a few quid.
