Super cute
These are super cute! They are really tiny but can be great for a desert or small breakfast. Think a Molten lava chocolate cake you would get at a restaurant, it's about that size.

What the Cookbook is and What it Isn't
There are very mixed reviews about buying this set with the cookbook so I thought I'd add some info. It's very giftable and the cocottes are beautiful just like all of this brand. I think they will last a long time. I bought the set because I have several meals alone in a week and I thought it would be great for meal planning. I was picturing things like mini breakfast quiches, tiny one-person casseroles, things like that. The cocottes themselves are good for that but you'll need to look elsewhere for recipes. The cookbook is lovely with a few recipes written in different colors to match the cocotte range of colors and is more like a coffee table book (except it's paperback). The recipes look good/tasty but two things: 1) Some of them are a little complicated and take very specific ingredients that you might not use in other dishes (so if you're cooking for one or two it's always problematic what to do with the rest of that ingredient if you only need a tablespoon or two of this and that). I also get the feeling they wouldn't keep well, as in they are recipes that taste best fresh, not as leftovers or next day meals. Making all 4 then becomes tricky for me and some of the recipes aren't really divisible. 2) These are not low calorie dishes. Not that they claim to be, but while I can't wait to make the chocolate dessert, I think it's over 1/4 stick of butter in each cocotte. Most of the recipes are very "heavy" like this. I would say probably delicious, and like grandma used to make, but not good for my every day eating and generally not a meal in themselves. It would make a lovely gift for someone who really into cooking and taking the time to make beautiful things in the kitchen. If i was sitting on a sweeping veranda with friends and the host brought us one of these dishes out I would be completely wowed and enjoy it. But I live in a tiny apartment and try to watch my budget and waistline. So it's not quite as good for every day eating. That said, I love the cocottes and will just look for some other more daily recipes such as simple hot breakfasts or lunch preparation and more meal-in-one or nutrition dense small main dishes. I'm also looking forward to making the French onion soup recipe for friends (even though I don't have access to a veranda).

Beautiful little set of cocottes.
This is a beautiful little set of cocottes, and I love the color. I got a box of Les Plats du Chef's individually wrapped pre-made frozen French onion soup from Costco, unwrapped them, put one in each cocotte sans the lid, and cooked them in the stove within a larger container to avoid spill-over problems, and the result was great. Ready-to-serve-French onion soup in beautiful little containers with almost no work at all! Then I served the Caribbean blue cocottes on plates of contrasting blue, and the presentation was very pretty. The accompanying book is nice, but quite small, and features colors of cocottes that are no longer available. If anyone knows of another such book, it would be good to know about it. Over-all, a great buy. Expensive, but Stuab's cocottes are even more so, though they are made from other materials and feature other colors. Both are good for different reasons, but I like LeCreuset's design better. Cheaper ones are available and nice, but are more likely to break over time. These are very sturdy. Enjoy.

The Best Cocettes/Ramekins
I absolutely fell in love with these little pieces. I made some raspberry soufflés when I received them and the soufflés were cooked perfectly. The little handles are more useful than I thought, too. They’re the perfect size for deserts and it comes with a small booklet that has about 20 recipes that you can cook with these pieces. They’re sturdy, a beautiful color, and I’ve gotten compliments from people on how nice they look in pictures. If you have the budget to buy these since they’re a bit expensive, I think they’re worth the purchase!

Hermosas las cacerolas, muy útiles y de excelente calidad. Con el plus de que traen un recetario muy completo.

Bought this latest addition to my Le Creuset collection in time for my birthday. Didn't really want the recipe book at first, but I found a wonderful recipe for frozen rose soufflé that was marvelous, and a few others I will be trying in the future.
