The roll on is very easy to apply, and about 4-5 seconds after you apply it it has an immediate positive effect on arm/leg muscle pain. I am a teenage girl and play softball, basketball, volleyball, and tennis and appreciate what it does when my arm is really worn out from pitching in softball or from running in basketball. Scent is strong, minty, and sort of medical. But not that bad. A little expensive but worth it if you're an athlete.

I have been using Biofreeze for years and absolutely love it. It used to be that it was very difficult to find it and usually available only in doctors' offices but not anymore! I am so glad that now I can buy it anytime I need it on Amazon. It smells fresh, minty but not too strong so that no one else around you can smell it. It helps with muscle pain, spasm, and soreness. My husband and I use it when we have worked out a little too hard and our muscles are sore the day after. We also use it when we have muscle spasm for any reason. Since it is pretty natural, you can use it all day long without risking having any side effects. I would advise that for first time users, you need to put some on just a little bit and see how it feels as it can get pretty strong and may have a feeling of burning sensation but do not worry, it will not hurt you. It's just a matter of preference and how much or how little you need in order to get relief from pain.

Like many other reviewers, I also suffer from chronic pain. I was first introduced to Biofreeze as the 360 spray, and wow does it work fantastically. Long lasting, I don't mind the smell (though it is strong), but I was concerned about how much spray was getting on my skin vs. flying past my arm. It's also much easier to unknowingly get on your hands, and then you rub an eye, and that's no bueno. So I decided to try the roll-on. I don't like the roll-on as much. It is very nice that it doesn't spray everywhere, it's good for weaker pains, and the ball is a decent massager for my arms. The biggest problem is that the roll-on is less than half the strength of the spray. Biofreeze 360 spray is 10.5% menthol, while the roll-on is 4%. I noticed immediately. The spray lasts FAR longer, and being a single person, I can't roll up my own back. So I'll still be getting the spray, but these roll-ons are very useful for minor pains in places I can reach. TL;DR: not as strong as the spray, but at least you won't accidentally spray it in your eye.

Great stuff...worth its weight in gold.) I had a sprain to the top of my foot the first time and it made recovery much more comfortable. I have had neck and shoulder strain that seems to recover rather quickly during the day when applying liberal amounts to those areas in the morning before going out or just before going to bed. I have had a few injuries that I have found to recover much better with this product. (Not sure if it is just psychological given the amount of research I conducted before making my own purchase.) I was lent my first bottle I ever used and I wasn’t sure what was in it that made me feel better so quickly. That is why I think word of mouth advertising for a product like this is important. I have recommended this product quite a few times to friends and family that have muscle pains and strains and I have even ordered the twin pack just to pass on a bottle to them. (Much more like pay it forward after getting my first bottle the same way.) Besides the twin pack is a much better deal than ordering a single bottle…always shop around for the best deal.

Easy to apply

I bought this for my flights to Europe and back. Being able to just grab this and role it on my neck really was a blessing. The smell is very mild. The relief is good. It continued to work for hours. I'm using it at home now when sitting at my computer. It is much easier than grabbing a tube of cream, spreading it, then washing my hands.

Works well on all body parts, good size for price, smells like menthol, really no leaks. Very durable.
