I like things that make my life easier and spend hard earned money on quality things that enrich our daily life's. This little Kitchen gadget is one among them. It really makes my life a bit easier in the Kitchen . I have tested this on multiple items and here is my honest feedback. Anything soft it stumbles a bit , like tomatoes, cilantro and green onion ( it crushes them instead of chopping them) . Its not the choppers fault as even my well sharpened knife did that on very ripe/soft tomatoes. Anyways a well crushed tomato is not that bad as its perfect for Salsa or Pasta sauce or even curry sauce. Now the good stuff. Its excellent in cutting nuts ( peanuts, pecans , almonds and walnuts ), regular and sweet potatoes, all types of onion ( red, white and yellow ), amazing with carrots, celery , mushrooms , broccoli, cabbage ,cucumber, jalapenos , serrano's and even crushes ice easily( though not a good thing to do often ). I also tested it on apples and it was good. But the thing I really like about, is its cutting skills even on very small stuff like a clove or two of garlic ( most processors don't do this) and even a miniscule piece of ginger for my tea in the evening. Many folks think that this chopper has very small cup size ( 1 cup ) , but don't let that fool you. You can directly chop this on a wooden or plastic cutting board without the bottom cover and seriously not have any limitation on size. I was able to mince and chop 5 large onions for a party in 3-4 minutes right on my cutting board. Finally the cleaning part. This is where it excels most others on the market. The whole thing comes off for easy cleaning and reassembly . Please see Di Reggale's youtube video for assembly instructions. Its really easy once you get the hang off it and it becomes second nature ...Saving the best part for the last is the customer service. When was the last time you saw a company standing behind its products for Life ? Nancy has been a source of terrific support in answering any questions on the product and really walks that extra mile to support her customers. This type of customer service is really rare these days and happy to support folks like them. Buy this product, use it with care as it was designed to be and I bet you can get years worth of service from this little gadget .

Surgery reduced my stomach size, made small-chopped food essential part of my diet. I looked through a dozen different machines; this Vivaant chopper won out for flexibility, design, construction, materials, suitability to need (evenly chopped stuff). It's a marvelous machine--I get the impression it's been through many iterations to add this or subtract that, strengthen here and thin there, to simplify and reduce to the essential. Whatever the process that produced it, this chopper does well what it claims: it chops. The Z-shaped blades rotate with each push, which spreads the chopping effort, produces relatively uniform pieces. Blades retract through slots in the intermediate section, so food pieces that stick to the blades drop back into in the chopping chamber. A few pushes on the plunger--larger product; more pushes, more chops, finer stuff. The unit includes a base cover; without the base food can be chopped on a cutting board or wooden counter. The unit comes apart easily--couple twists on the lower components. For cleaning (and drying after cleaning) the blades can lock in full extension. The blades are sharp; fully extended they need to be treated with care. I'm glad Vivaant did not conceal the blades in an attempt to protect users--it would only have made cleaning difficult. Most sturdy vegetables (carrots, winter squash) chop easily. But the unit also handles more fibrous things like beans or broccoli with ease. Thinly sliced meats (ham, turkey, fish) do very nicely, too. The least successful foods (surprise): tough, stringy meats. I've only got weeks of experience but I don't see parts or places likely to fail; I anticipate a long life and much chopping for this product. If the unexpected happens all is not lost: unlike most competitors, Vivaant offers a lifetime satisfaction guarantee.

I had a Pampered Chef food chopper for nearly twenty years that was easy to use, easy to clean and I couldn't believe it lasted that long. But when it finally started falling apart, it was time to get a new one. This chopper is made of more metal parts and appears to be very sturdy. I am hopeful that it won't crack in the same places that the PC plastic one did. This chopper does come apart into a few more parts than I'm used to, but it is all dishwasher safe, and is still easy to disassemble and to assemble. I have used it twice already and been very pleased with it.

This chopper was purchased in 2019 and has seen a lot of use. It has worked flawlessly from the start. It is nicely designed and built...very sturdy and easy to use. The blades are quite sharp. My wife and I along with many "helpers" have chopped nuts and all types of crisp vegetables (onions, carrots, etc). The unit dissembles easily for cleaning and washes up quickly. At first, I was using it on a polymer cutting board but quickly learned that using the base cover, which is made of a firm but resilient rubber like material, produced a better result and was easier on the blades. It has a small footprint and stores easily. I recommend it without reservation.

A person about needs a mechanical engineering degree to put this thing together & take it apart - and good luck with the latter. The instructions are, at best, so-so. The chopper part is HUGE. The food cup you chop into is teeny. I bought this to chop onions quickly. By the time I get this thing put together and cut the onions up into small enough pieces and then chop them into the cup and then empty the cup and put some more pieces in and then chop those, I could have chopped the damned onion myself. An optional way of using it is to use the chopper part on a chopping board, but stuff flies everywhere as opposed to when it is confined in the food cup. And it is not easy to use. It is very cumbersome. I HATE gadgets that make a task 10X harder than doing it without the gadget. I was really disappointed. It seems to be very well made, and maybe for some people this will be great. For me, after struggling through one use, I will now give it away. If I could figure out how to get it back apart again, without smashing it, which is still absolutely an option, I would just recycle the parts and not burden anyone else with it.
