TL,DR: easy to use the spray and brush. The kabuki brush is so soft. After 4 uses I feel like I'm getting the hang of it. I followed the advice from a different post. Two short sprays downward toward the sink to help cleanup. Then I dotted forehead, nose, cheek, cheek, chin to spread it out a little bit. Then went back and brushed the foundation in small circles all around. I have combination skin and this feels lightweight. the Fair shade worked well for my Wisconsin winter skin tone. Full Review: First I need to start out that I am not a makeup expert by any means and consider myself a novice. I haven't worn makeup in probably 2-3 years. I'm a 40 year old mother of two boys. I am a professional in healthcare (orthopedic surgery PA)on the go. I decided it was time to get back into skincare and makeup for my own wellbeing and confidence. I have combination skin on the oily side with dry skin on my forehead and nose and large pores. I get occasional breakouts along the jaw line and have discoloration from past breakouts. When the kit arrived, my face regimen was an acne type face wash in the shower followed by a salacylic acid moisturizer. I thought I was helping prevent pimples, but what I was doing was drying out my skin. The first time I tried the foundation I was disappointed because although it went on easily, it stuck to my dry skin and looked uneven. I realized that the cream and lotions I used in my twenties are not the right thing for me in my forties. I felt like I was too young for all of the "Age defying" creams, but too old for Clearsil. The skincare isle at the store is overwhelming with all of the choices. So, The scientist in me hit the internet to find out what I should be using instead. I learned that I need a cleansing oil to remove dirt and makeup without stripping my face of oil, which just in turned caused more oil. I read about all of the serums that are out there. I decided that I would try Vitamin C serum (boosts collagen for firmness and reverses cell damage which will lighten discoloration) and hyaluronic acid (hydration without oily feeling. HA can hold 1000 times its weight in water). Lastly, I needed a moisturizer and found one for combination skin. This is just the new morning routine. Nighttime is micellar water to wipe away makeup, followed by cleansing oil. I decided that I would use a retinol serum (a form of Vitamin A that can clear up acne, even skin tone and color. it can be harsh at first and can make a person sun sensitive. so good at nighttime.) I was able to find all of these new items at Walmart. I spent about $60 total. After one night and one morning, the flaky skin was practically gone. I'm 4 days in now. The foundation went on so much better and didn't catch on any dry skin. By the 4th day I was getting quicker with using the primer and foundation. At first I didn't think the primer was doing anything or thought I wasn't using enough. But I looked closer and realized that it gave a matte look. Hopefully that's what its supposed to do. The foundation lasts all day. I am still in need of a concealer pen for undereye darkness and a few spot coverup. So now my routine includes actual skincare and foundation. I don't want to shock my coworkers with a full face makeup overnight! lol I am still learning about the rest of my makeup. I never really learned how to properly apply it. I watched a "no-makeup" makup tutorial by Beauty and the Boutique. This encouraged me to buy a concealer pen and liquid blush that can be used on eyes, cheeks, and lips. Still waiting for those to arrive. So little, by little I'll figure it out.

have been using this for years, it is a wonderful foundation that does not settle into the lines....

I got the fair because it was on sale and I knew I’d be close between fair and light. I’m more light as I age. The foundation and setting spray weren’t sealed. Maybe it was because it was unsealed, but the product did not give an airbrushed look on its own. I do not have dry skin, but I definitely looked as though my skin was dry. It seemed to settle into fine lines, especially under my eyes. They were more noticeable. I could see this being useful if one purchased a couple shades to use for contouring and highlighting. I have never liked the feel of heavy makeup, or over the years of going for a more natural look, maybe I forgot it. This seems heavy right away, and it took a bit of washing before I felt it was fully removed from my skin, which I didn’t like because of the risk of drying. The brushes were nothing special. I’ve had better and worse. The smaller brush is nice to have, though, and I would likely purchase it separately if it were a reasonable price. Spraying the product into a cup as recommended by a few made for less waste. From what I’ve seen and read, you’re either going to look pink or orange with this. Cover Girl cartoon coverage and color was part of the 1980s I didn’t want to see return. My teeth looked less white with it on. Blue is added to toothpaste and laundry detergent to give a white look, as its opposite yellow on the colour wheel. That means the fair is slightly on the orange-yellow side (and perhaps a bit too light for my skin, although not really noticeable.) I think I have pink undertones, and never wear blush. The idea of looking pink is gross to me. I’m supposedly “neutral” because I have both green and blue veins, though more green than blue. With this on, I do not look pink. I tried building it, and the shade on my skin was not bad; however I do have two moles on my face that were not hidden, only less noticeable. I don’t try to hide them, though. If you have peach fuzz you haven’t removed for a second, or generally don’t, this works like the type of powders that accentuate it. There are better products out there. Perhaps the last of some stock was available here and the website may have newer, sealed product. One article in a magazine and it sold out. It seems they will be changing their available shades again, soon as well. Overall, a bad experiment and experience with the foundation itself. The primer looks and feels very nice. It doesn’t blur anything and I haven’t tried it with another foundation or any skincare products, nor would I wear it alone, but it is silky, and the foundation goes on smoothly with it. As I’ve seen in reviews, it would be nice if it were sold separately, because compared with the foundation it is a superior product. The finishing spray as I saw in reviews continues to spray after you quit pressing and remove your finger, although it is hard to tell if much product comes out, or if it is just making noise. It doesn’t seem to transfer very easily. I did not try to wipe my face, but I did press ribbed, black 100% cotton into my face in a couple spots and got minimal transfer. Perhaps if I purchase the “light” (I’ve read the “bright light” is more pink) I will be more impressed. I’ve seen people on TikTok that have had good experiences, but you never know. I’ve seen some YouTube reviews and although they’ve liked it, I don’t think the reviewer looked better after makeup. I attached a stock photo I found, and to me, it’s not a good promotion of the product. There are many positive reviews out there though, so maybe it’s me. I don’t like the teeth-yellowing, and I also found my lipliner bled more with this on. Maybe that’s the primer’s fault. I’m not sure.

I bought this during the prime sale. I’m fifty-six and I did some modeling when I was younger. I take good care of my skin. I had early menopause that practically happened overnight about ten years ago. So my skin has changed. Most foundation and concealer just does g loom good anymore. I’ve tried everything. I exfoliate and moisturize daily and I’ve tried every brand and type of foundation. The problem is that you can see the makeup on top of my skin. It didn’t meld with my skin. So any pores or imperfections were even more noticeable. So I thought I was just going to have to stop wearing foundation. My daughter recommended I try an air brush type of foundation. I hadn’t considered it but I saw that it was on sale so I took a chance. It’s really gorgeous. I’m blown away by it. My son and daughter-in-law came over for dinner tonight and my daughter-in-law said, “Mom you look so pretty, your skin is glowing”. That’s not an exaggeration, she really said that. I have the best daughter-in-law in the world. My makeup has been on for twelve hours now, so I’m sold. I have a new makeup brand. I’m too

Fantastic product. Needed something lighter than foundation or concealer but didn't want to deal with the hassle of an airbrush system. This product is the perfect balance. I'm 48 and realized the products I used for so many years no longer worked on my skin. Too cakey or settled into the fine line I'm trying to hide, not highlight. I wished someone had told me to try this sooner. There was an issue with a nozzle, but customer service replaced the whole thing in days. Great customer service to go along with this fantastic product.
