Umbra WallFlower Metal Wall Decor, Copper, Set of 9

I get the feeling these would look nice about any way you put them up. I was worried that my installation wouldn't look as nice as some. I used them in a guest bathroom and am really happy with the result. I first saw these in a house that was for sale and loved them. They were the magnet version. These do not have magnets as of the time of my order (June 2010). They come with a nail/ tack hybrid almost. We were able to push them into the wall without using the hammer. You click the flowers right onto the head of the "tack". It was quite simple. I'm not sure why some of the other reviews complained about the fact that you'd have the put holes in your wall. Unless your walls are metal, you were going to have holes in them with the old magnet version. Those used the same nail/ tack hybrid except the head was magnetized and there was a magnet embedded in the flower. These have a space in the back of the flower that easily clicks on and off of the tack head. Installed in about 10 minutes - really love the look. It's almost zen or Asian feeling in some way, although I'm not sure why I feel that way. I'm becoming quite a fan of these Umbra products- this is the fourth I've purchased and I appreciate the simple shapes and functions.

I used these white 3D flowers in combination with the pink ones for our nursery and they look really cute. The adhesives have held up well despite the hot weather so there hasn't been the need for the magnetic conversion kit yet. The magnets require putting holes in the wall, which I prefer to avoid. Establishing a pattern that I was pleased with was a bit difficult. I initially stuck the flowers up with blue tape and created the pattern first and then actually placed the flowers using the adhesives that were provided. The adhesive stickers stick fairly well so I would recommend avoiding removing and reapplying.

I fell in love with these when I saw them. I thought they would be prefect for the space I had available and I liked that I could be creative and make my own design. They were pretty easy to put up, though I didn't use the stickers at all due to all the reviews about them falling off; I just used the tacks from the very beginning. (I would have preferred the magnets but I couldn't find a conversion kit available online.) Like another reviewer said, I also recommend putting one flower on the wall at a time; do not put all of the tacks into the wall first. Some of the bigger flowers take up more space than you would think and you don't want to move the tacks all around leaving a bunch of extra holes in the wall. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had a hard time getting the tacks to snap into the back of the flowers... by the time i was finished the tips of my fingers were throbbing. I really do like them, though, and I would buy them again. They look really cute on the wall, even better than the pictures I've seen.

I had a space that needed something, but not another picture on the wall. I put up some vinyl lettering and accented with 8 of these and it looks beautiful! I did make one change though (which might be helpful to anyone wanting a specific look), I didn't use the adhesive that comes with these wallflowers, I used Bostik's Blu-Tack Reuseable Adhesive (which I've used to secure other things and I love it.) This allowed me to place the wallflowers on the wall and move them around until I found the perfect spot for them. I cut 1/8 - 3/8" of the Blu-Tack adhesive and folded it over and placed it in the center of each flower (where the adhesive tape that comes with it would normally adhere to.) I took each flower pressed it on the wall and then turned it slighly, making sure the friction and adherence to the wall was accomplished.

I purchased the set of white and spray painted them three different colors to match our room and after a couple coats they looked AWESOME...as if they had come that way. This is such a creative and fun way to decorate a wall and since we have a rental with white walls, they added great color once spray-painted. I think they're fabulous. And although I couldn't get the tacks to work and had to use the double-sided stick tape that they also provided, I am more than pleased with the way they went on the wall--very easy!

I ordered these a year ago and again now (I should have known better!) They are ADORABLE - I also got leaves and dragonflies. The first time I ordered they came with adhesive dots and with tacks to get them on the wall. The adhesive dots are useless in my opinion. The tacks were also with their faults. It is VERY DIFFICULT to "snap them on" as instructed. They do NOT FIT WELL - some NOT AT ALL. The decor falls off the tacks on occasion. We painted our daughter's room and I painted a bunch of the leaves and flowers to coordinate with colors in the room. THIS TIME EVEN THOUGH THE PACKAGE SAID you could put them on with ADHESIVE or TACKS there were no tacks. Not only that, but Amazon doesn't even carry the tack conversion kits which are really necessary if you actually want these on the wall. Three stars because they look great - that part is worth 5 stars. If I were just rating on the ease of application, it would be a ZERO. (I just spent nearly an hour trying to put up about 25 of these - and I still have 75 to go - my thumbs feel like they have stress fractures and I bent the heck out of a pair of steel tweezers, and even the needle nose pliers I am trying to use to insert the butt end of the tack into the receiver is not working in some cases. Am I frustrated...YES! - not a good time to write a review but I would give up if I didn't spend so much time prepping and painting the darn things. Next time I will just go with adhesives instead of the 3D)

This is a great product. Super sticky material that tacks it to your wall so be sure of your placement because you cant change your mind once you stick it! If you do remove it do it very slowly or it will remove the wall where the sticky touches if you arent extremely careful! I made that mistake...I was able to move a couple of them without this happening though. Looks good on my wall.

looked a bit cheap

Lovely looking and easy to fix, i like the three dimensional look, i do know they will be a dust collector, so got my little paintbrush for a gentle clean!!

I bought two sets of these, spray-painted most in chrome (Rustoleum Bright-Coat Chrome) and some in peacock-blue. These are super easy to spray-paint, didn't require any pre-prepping, and look like they were bought this way. They come with 3-M adhesives to stick directly onto your wall, no tacks. Concerned about wall-damage when removing them, I pressed simple tacks onto the adhesives, gave them a day to be really sturdy, then put them up on the walls. Had to move two for aesthetics, and the pinhole was so tiny it was easy to cover with a tiny dot of paint. So far they've stayed up perfectly and seem quite stable. When my husband initially saw these online he thought they'd be silly looking, but once he saw them in person and saw they're substantial in size, he was interested; the paint job sealed it for him, and he really likes the end result on the walls. In person these look really cool and effectively distract from the oddly-placed humidity sensor and pipe-covers. I love the quirkiness they've added to our place, the and ease of putting them up - definitely recommend them. :)
