Does this actually taste like maple? Or is it like when medicine is supposed to taste like grape but doesn’t?

Sleepy and other NDF Kids products are sweetened with Natural Maple Flavor, which gives it a hint of Maple taste.

Why do the instructions say that you have to add in another product if you use for more than 7-10 days?

Because then the problem is no longer occasional sleeplessness, but likely more to do with hyperactivity or something similar during the day. My kids need this EVERY night- and while it works, I am purchasing the Calm instead now per the recommendation to see if it makes a difference.
