For a pool owner, this would get a Product of the DECADE recommendation! Without going into too much detail, let's just say this stuff solved/plugged a skimmer leak that I was told would require major excavation/intervention to correct. I made the mistake of believing the product would work better if the surface being repaired was totally drained/dried out for a couple days. FALSE! I did rough the surface up quite a bit with Scotchbrite & cleaned it with brake cleaner but when I went to use this product mixed per the directions, I was a bit disappointed in how it was setting up/taking shape UNTIL I accidentally got a little water onto the area I was trying to repair. Instantly it started becoming malleable, turning into a proper paste, adhering to the surface & behaving as I would expect it to. A month later, pool still holding water perfectly & I only used about an inch worth of product. I still have LOTS more for any other leaks/future problems. The repaired area has since set up & feels like concrete. More importantly, my pool hasn't retained water like this since I put it in. Bottom line, this stuff works WONDERS. Just make sure you're not afraid to get it wet because that's exactly what it needs to work properly. Just don't be a dummy like me & overthink the chemists who designed it.

Very nice product. I used it to repair cracks in a pool skimmer which I believe is ABS plastic. Way better than the JB Weld product that failed after about a year. Very easy to mix and apply. Sticks better than the JB weld, and the finish is a lot nicer. Worth the wait and extra cost. I recommend.

Easy to use and works underwater

this product is amazing have been using it for years..my above ground pool liner is 36 yrs old//patched with this product, easy to use and lasts! Patch kits just don.-'t work

I had a leak along the seam between the skimmer housing and the pool stucco. I mixed the product and applied it to the seam with a little bit of water as the skimmer housing was lower than the stucco so it was applied wet. It dried in thirty minutes and I tested with the leak detector and found a tiny leak in the corner and applied some more compound. Tested again thirty minutes later and no more leak. Worked perfectly.

The concept is really simple, the instructions clear, and the process trivial. Cut two slides of equal length, one from each tube, work them together until thoroughly mixed into a uniform paste (it does not stick to fingers, at least not enough to cause any problems), apply where needed, let it cure. I used it in two places on my gunite pool wall to repair seals between the plaster and the tubing, one above the surface (refill) and one below (the vacuum cleaner outlet). Easy to apply in air, tricky under water, because it mixes well with water, so that any manipulation that increases the surface in contact with water also works to dissolve the mix. I found it best to push the mix into place and not worry about the finish until after it had time to cure. As for curing: cured quickly in air, but very slowly (noticeably more slowly than the instructions would have you believe) under water -- perhaps it's because my pool is salt water? The result is more like plaster than like expoxy -- it holds, but it's not especially strong. I still recommend it forits ease of use, and also because I have not found anything better (short of emptying the pool to the level of the repair to carry out the repair in air).

I discovered a leak in our skimmer box. I had to move a loose tile to find it. I was able to smooth and tool it over the area way easier than I expected. It hardened to the touch in under an hour (pool water was about 87 degrees) and air temp was in the 90s. I felt and saw no difference in working with the portion in or out of the water. I think the easiest mistake to make is not mixing enough. I set a timer for 5 minutes and didn’t stop even if the mixture looked one color. You will feel it get quite warm when the reaction is actually happening. Hopefully I won’t need to do any further repairs soon, but thankfully I have enough material left to do some If needed.
