I have the Spider-Man ones and they fit good…. I’ve had them 2 1/2 yrs and still look good.

Are they supposed to be loose?

No. If they won't tighten down, either your stem is stripped (unlikely), or it's the cap(s). I'd return them for replacement. I bought a couple of sets, and they all tightened down just fine. 1 set is on my 2011 Polaris Rzr 900 XP, and they haven't come loose yet.

Is the thread material plastic or metal?
