Learning Resources Bucket Balance, 1g Sensitivity, Ages 3+

It's a scale and it does what it's suppose to do! We enjoyed using it to measure from liquids to sand or just other things you can weigh, my daughter started to even weigh her own toys including play food toys. It's nice to be able to play with something that gives kids the concepts of how big one thing can be still can weigh less than something so small. It was a great addtion to my daughter's play kitchen as well as for her science set play toys. It's a simple item to have but I got a really great buy from Amazon, Thanks!=)

This is a nice beginner balance. It serves well for introducing a balance. Gram stackers can be bought separately but not immediately needed (depends on your lesson needs). Use with solids and liquids. It can be easily balanced and the kids wanted to explore this new math tool right away. After they wrote about Math Tools in their interactive notebooks they went to learn and play immediately. It's small and lightweight making it easy to take it on the go. It however, might break easily so some rules for use and a safe location should do. A good homeschooling option as well.

Just what I was looking for in a balance for my homeschool. The buckets can be used with wet or dry materials. The quality is good as expected from a Learning Resources product. I would buy this balance again.

This is great for toddlers and preschoolers. We've measured all sorts of things in the house, and it's easy for the kids to determine if the two sides are even. The clear plastic buckets are removable and easily washable, in case you're experiments end up a little dirty or sticky.

My littles aren't using it yet to measure weight, but they've grabbed the buckets off and accidentally dropped the scale a few times, and it still works properly.

It does the job for early PreK/K without the bells and whistles.

Needed a cheap balance for a maths project for my tutoring job. Not only was it cheaper than I thought i would be but it does the job, and is a little more compact than other models. Well worth purchasing!

As a retired primary teacher and having grown up with using a cook's balance, I wanted this type for baking with my grandchildren. This is light and also well made. It's suitable for baking and also for finding toys that balance. The 'buckets' have small markings for measuring liquids which will be useful in due course

Good product that will get use through the years as child grows. Sturdy, and my 2.5 yo likes putting different items in the buckets. But she is a little young for it yet. I only give 3 stars for price, as though the learning resources items are sturdy and will last, I still think they are just a little overpriced for what they are.
