NO. The "House of Tuvache" closed its doors in early 1977, and the formulas for all of their dozen plus fragrances were NOT shared. In the early 80s, Yardley of London, Evian, COTY, and others, since the trademarked "Tuvache" and "Jungle Gardenia" had expired, all came out with fakes/Knockoffs that failed in the market as American women were not fooled. The Tuvache formulas were not shared by the founder/sole owner when she disappeared in to her retirement. At best, this a a copy of a fake/knockoff from the 80s fake/knockoffs. Even the fragrance color is wrong from the real Tuvache Jungle Gardenia. It may smell nice, but it does not smell like the original Tuvache...but neither did the fake/knockoffs from the 80s to early 90s.

No, however it is extremely close to the original which I loved. I am very happy with this product, and it is the best of any other ‘gardenia’ perfumes I’ve tried.

Is this the same perfume made by coty? if not, it's not jungle gardenia.

Coty has not held the rights to Jungle Gardenia since the 1990s when they discontinued it. This is the Authentic Jungle Gardenia protected by US trademark.

legit, identical or very close to the vintage version, definitely worth the money

Supplementing my previous review from yesterday. I sprayed Jungle Gardenia all over myself and my pillowcase and fell asleep wallowing happily in the fragrance. Still smelled great when I woke up this morning. This is the nearest thing to vintage Jungle Gardenia that I've come across in the 40 years since they stopped making the original, I love it, I'm VERY grateful to the seller for bringing this wonderful perfume back into the marketplace. I did run into one problem, as I was going through my orgy of spritzing Jungle Gardenia on everything, the little spray head on the bottle broke and stopped working! Luckily I happened to have an empty atomizer on hand so I was able to decant into the atomizer and keep going. Under other circumstances, I would complain to the seller and even demand a replacement! But I'm so thrilled to have real Jungle Gardenia once again that instead of complaining, I ordered another bottle. Three cheers for this wonderful recreation or dupe of vintage Jungle Gardenia and three cheers for whoever decided to manufacture this!

Love and get lots of compliments. Was said this is what Elizabeth Taylor wore. Very strong. I’m happy with it.

True gardenia fragrance

Exactly like the Jungle Gardenia from the 1960’s except that the fragrance does not last. It has a slightly oily feel as good parfums must, but frangance fades quickly. Still, it is a very lovely smell if you are a fan of florals

Wish Come True

I wore this fragrance 50 years ago. Purchased from my employer, Neiman Marcus. I love it. This was a well deserved treat for myself. Smells great, but I didn't receive any compliments when out & about. Strange. The wait time was forever coming from vendor. Maybe not worth the price.🙂🙃😏
