First Space Encyclopedia

Great photography and drawings to accompany vocabulary and simple explanations of the major aspects of astronomy. We will be using this text as the basis of our homeschool cooperative science curriculum next fall when we study astronomy. It includes almost everything we were going to teach and explains it at a very basic level.

Bought to use for homeschool curriculum. Book is clear, gives good information, keeps things interesting, good visuals. Has been a useful education tool.

Good introductory book. Pages are not crammed with information and the layout is easy to follow, with short paragraphs that include facts and detailed pictures of planets, galaxies, astronaut gear and more. My boy (5) will definitely enjoy!

Excellent book, we use this as part of our homeschool program. I would recommend it for anyone with kids. The pictures are amazing.

My 5 year old grandson spends huge chunks of time leafing through this encyclopedia and frequently asks for us to read from it. Great reference book for a wide range of ages. Kindergarten is probably the youngest that would appreciate its length and depth of information and unless they already have a base knowledge of the solar system and objects moving around in it, maybe wait til they are a little older. Kids in 4th-6th grade are likely to learn much. Illustrations are excellent and are a mix of photographs and drawings. The 5th star wasn’t granted because the spine does not feel as sturdy as I would like it to be, considering the length and dimensions of the book. Note that this is an oversized book.

I got this as a Christmas present for my 6 year old grandson (he’s into all things space) and he loves it! He wants me to read part of it every time I go over there. He’s learned a lot about space, planets, and astronauts from it. I’m a space enthusiast too, and have learned a lot from this book. I absolutely recommend!

Product was in pretty great condition. The only thing is a piece of tape on the back, and that can be taken off.

Well, this was incredible experience - I wanted to expand the horizons for my grandson - from garbage trucks to space. It was a success. He looks in this encyclopedia every day and builds space ships from legos. He corrects me when I mistake one planet for another. Amazing success.

Great book for inquisitive minds My 3 1/2 year old grandson loves this book

Libro comperato in previsione del programma CLIL della 5 elementare. Immagini chiare e semplici, poche frasi in inglese che con qualche aiuto mio figlio riesce a tradurre. Consigliato per chi ha bambini curiosi e che devono affrontare astronomia in inglese! Già iniziato a studiare Big Bang sul libro! Amazon perfetta!!

Very informative. Easy to read and understand. A lot of information many of us might not know are included here. Definitely a book worth reading. Pictures are clear. They have made it interesting with the way have put the information. Some of the pics are shown as a part of review.

Lots of photographs and right amount of information for kids. Our 6 years old absolutely loved it.

Going to be a XMAS gift for a 6 year old and he is going to love this book......
