Are these reusable (thinking occasional storm runoff)? How much do they weigh? Height of barrier? Thanks.

The New Pig Silt Sock (PMB30029) is designed to Divert, control and trap sediment and debris in construction and landscaping while allowing water to flow through.  The Silt Sock can be reused as long as the outer skin is not damaged. Once damaged, you can open the sock, dispose of the mesh and spread the filler around the terrain.  Each Silt Sock is 5" diameter by 10' long.  Each Silt Sock will weigh approximately 49 lbs.. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

You say the product uses "kiln-dried wood", what is the life span for being constantly outside?

Hello Craig, the life of the Inlet Protection Sediment Filter Sock will vary in every application. Over time sediment will clog the filter. We recommend performing visual inspections during rain events to verify the filter sock is properly draining. The filter sock is UV resistant and will hold up very well in outdoor conditions. Would this be able to trap or divert contaminated water from soap/checmical runoff when washing a car in a driveway?

The Silt Sock for sediment and erosion control (PMB30029) is designed to filter debris and sediment and will not trap or divert the water. Would this be effective in filtering the dirt out if used to protect garage drain from dirt going down the drain while washing tractor, equipment etc?
