Ottimo libro per introdurre l’arte ai bambini; la stampa ha un’ottima risoluzione e la composizione è moderna. Il fatto che per ora sia disponibile sono in inglese potrebbe essere un problema per qualcuno

Bought as a gift and it was a winner.

In my opinion this publication is most suitable for my eleven year old grandaughters, it's concise and the photography/images not only compliments the text it elucidates what is being expounded.

Great way for an adult to get a broad understanding of different periods of art.

Excellent book for introduction to Western Art specifically Painting. Brought it for my son but ended reading it first. Not too verbose, emphasis is on history than criticism and you can enjoy the art on large size books. Key movement in paintings like Romanticism, Impressionism, Post Impressionism till Surrealism and abstract art forms are covered in nutshell with paintings. Images provided with the book give fair idea about the content and design of the book. Generally I dont like books from DK because of the cramped text and small font size. But this was surprise.
