Having written and successfully published (as well as taught a university level writing course) in both areas, I believe their expressed opinion that the simple difference between the two is that fiction requires talent and creativity and can be arduous whereas non-fiction is what you know and what you’re willing to research may require a few more words. Fiction does require talent and creativity and can be ’arduous’ in the amount of research required to provide credibility to your plot and the activities included (unless engaged in the fantasy genre). This is why fiction writers usually are told ‘to stick to what they know’. Non-fiction also is described correctly as a collection of what you know and what you are willing to research. However, the newbie by no means should overlook the importance of creativity and talent. They first must have the creative spark that allows them to ferret out the fact(s) that others miss AND the talent to weave them into a single unit that supplies a usable tool to supply answers to the discovered ‘niche’.

Book The Business: How To Make BIG MONEY by Adam Witty is a explanatory book that takes an individual who has authored a book or is considering the authoring of a book beyond the obvious way of enjoying revenue from their creation. The obvious way of generating revenue from the writing of the book is through sales. However, the authors take the reality of increasing their revenue from their writing creation beyond the obvious selling of the manuscript. What is extremely interesting is to realize, through the presentation of hard and cold facts, that an author seldom realizes much revenue off of the sale of their book. First of all, the author shares with the reader that a mere 500,000 people choose to write and publish a book. This is an extraordinary achievement given the fact that there are nearly 7 billion people that populate the world. The authors then drill in on this and share that often the dream of an author is to go big and earn significant money off of royalties. The assertion is then made that the worst way to make money when you have authored a book is to sell it. He then goes on to explain why this is the case and presents the staggering statistic that, on an average, only $1.12 is realized by the author for every book that is sold. Requesting the reader to do the math, it certainly does not bode well for the author dreaming of making significant money with the sale of their book. After capturing the reader's attention with these astonishing financial facts, he then presents a case on the best ways to earn money off of the book that has been written and produced. Book The Business: How To Make BIG MONEY by Adam Witty is an educational, enlightening and practical book for the would be or experienced author that bluntly pulls back the curtain of authoring a book, but quickly provides a proven strategy to unlock the full value of one's creation.

Adam Witty and Dan Kennedy provide the secret to radically increasing the profitability of virtually any business--writing a book. I am a long-time Dan Kennedy follower and based on advice that I got from him in 2003, wrote a book that changed my business and changed my life. I then wrote additional books that continue to improve my brand, my reputation and change the perception of both prospects and existing clients. With writing a book you can achieve the status of trusted advisor, not nuisance salesman. I conservatively estimate the value of writing my books at $5M, even though I got less than $50,000 in royalties. There were a lot of things I knew in Book the Business, but frankly think are true gold for people who are considering writing a book. I also relearned some ideas and got a bunch of new ones, any one of which could be worth many thousands of dollars. I highly recommend this book for any ambitious business owner who is looking to dramatically increase their business, their positioning, their reputation, and their life. The one warning that I would give is the author doesn't stress the importance to write a good book. I actually have a lot of discerning clients figuring out who to trust and where to invest their $1M and a lousy book would not have worked with them. But, don't let that stop you from buying this book. You will get great ideas and hopefully be inspired to change write a book and change your business and change your life. It will also be very helpful to authors who have written a book but didn't take the write steps to monetize the book. “Book the Business: How to Make BIG MONEY with your Book without Even Selling a Single Copy” is a book written by Adam Witty, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Advantage Media Group, an international publisher of business, self-improvement, and professional-development books and online learning, and Dan Kennedy, strategic advisor, consultant, freelance direct-response copywriter, business coach, editor of six business newsletters, and a popular professional speaker as well as a multimillionaire, serial entrepreneur. This is a short book that has less than two hundred pages but all of them are certainly worth reading. This book gives clues on how to improve personal promotion; it provides nine ways to make money and make your career grow. The book is well written and clear; it goes to the point of what the reader wants to find. Both authors did a great job in this book that once I started it, I could not put it down. I found it to be very interesting and inspiring as well. I would certainly recommend Book the Business to every person that is trying to make a living or some earnings out of their own book. I am giving “Book the business” 5 stars.

This book is not about writing a book. It is about how to get the most leverage out of a book to further your business our clout. But you should read this if you intend on writing a book because it will tell you what to expect ahead of time. So, if you are going to write about copywriting or how to build websites, it shows you how to use a book to get more customers and clients. And for that I give it the highest markings. This book will not tell you how to write a book or the process of writing a book. But, if you're really busy, you could hire a premium ghost writer to do that for you. Then, you cold implement the tactics in the book. Written by 2 highly seasoned copywriters and marketers, it is an excellent dissertation in how to promote yourself.
