Somehow, it manages to get into all the pores and crevices of my face, giving me medium to full coverage, depending on how many times I repeat application. I haven't tried cleaning it yet, but considering the price for 2 brushes is less than half of the cost of a single brush from the mineral makeup website, if something gets destroyed in the cleaning process, I'm perfectly ok with buying another one. No shedding, no loose bristles, and the ferrule seems to be attached to the handle well.
