R V Essential Pure Oakmoss Essential Oil 50ml (1.69oz)- Evernia Prunastri (100% Pure and Natural Steam Distilled)

I am an aromatherapist of some 20 years now, and would consider myself pretty knowledgeable on the topic of essential oils, and whilst I think this oakmoss is the real thing it is pretty impossible, for me at least, to use. I placed a tiny dot on my hard to assess its quality and it is very very thick and sticky, but then again so are some other balsamy /resin type oils like vetiver for example. It's perfume and colour were as expected, and seems authentic. But.... on trying to wash it away it would not be removed with soap and hot water, nor wiping with rubbing alcohol. I had to use repeated applications and much scrubbing with alcohol to remove it, and the perfume lingers even after I finally managed to remove the stickiness. I then tried to dilute a tiny drop on a toothpick in a carrier oil and was able to eventually, but took quite some time. It would be very hard and time consuming to use this in cosmetics, creams etc. and in massage blends. I bought it to make beard oil actually, and I mostly use oakmoss along with other oils in mens cosmetics, as it has a wonderful male perfume. This oil though, if you get it on your skin or any other thing, like bottles and mixing containers, will will not wash away as other oils will. It is a shame as it smells so good; I will have to put on my thinking cap as to a way to use it successfully. Pot pourri perhaps! Oh, and lastly I received a 10ml bottle not 15ml as advertised.

Das Öl ist gut und von hoher Qualität. Viele in den Bewertungen wissen einfach nicht, wie man damit umgeht. Oakmoss-Öl kommt nicht verdünnt, es ist dickflüssig. Du kannst die gewünschte Konzentration ganz einfach selbst einstellen, indem du DPG oder reinen Ethanol verwendest. Natürlich brauchst du dafür ein Heiz- und Rührgerät, da das Öl von seiner Struktur her wachsartig ist – ähnlich wie Ambergris oder Orris.

Odore molto molto debole

This oil is very thick with quite an intense scent. Since I have not ordered this before, I do not know if it would usually be this thick - it has almost a gummy feel to it and is too thick to use a dropper to extract it. It has a very earthy smell (which I like) but I am researching what I could mix it with to "sweeten" it up a bit once I mix it into the carrier oil. It came quicker than I expected and was very well packaged. I would order oils from this company again.

Creo ya opiné sobre este producto , pero otra vez lo hago : me gusta mucho su fragancia , quizá demasiado suave , pero está bien , lo que no me gusta es que como viene como una crema , para sacarlo del recipiente podría haber puesto una especia de cucharilla pequeña de plástico o algo parecido , por eso no le doy cinco estrellas , por lo demás y después de hacer jabón queda un olor muy agradable

Emballage extrêmement soigné pour résister au grand voyage depuis l'Inde. Compte tenu du prix modique, on aurait pu s'attendre à un produit moyen; pas du tout! Une vraie mousse de chêne ensorcellante!
