Duff phone battery, but...
Apologies - I realise this is a long Review, but I believe it is worthwhile getting to the end... ADDITION NOTE AND FINAL UPDATE Replacement arrived. Supplier had maintained excellent contact and I was confident all would turn out well. Everything absolutely fine. Setup, secure, and working splendidly. The supplier (ineedamobile) was fantastic. I truly appreciate how much effort they put into ensuring a satisfied customer. This review went from ONE star (at the start) to FOUR stars (once Amazon/ineedamobile were doing their stuff), and based upon how the replacement looks and works (now I have confidence in the battery as the app reports properly), this review is being made up to FIVE stars. The iPhone SE 2nd Gen is a lovely phone. No regrets. It is a pity to place it in a protective case, but that is where it now resides. VERY pleased. NOTE: Given how Amazon Customer Service and the supplier have responded, I have bumped this to 4-stars from a single star. I would have gone to 5-stars, given the care taken by Amazon and the supplier (ineedamobile), but the battery was faulty and so it is what it is. That said, the battery reporting by the app has basically made victims of all of us. Read on! -------------- ORIGINAL Alarm bells were ringing the moment it arrived. Setting it up, the phone reported that the it couldn't guarantee accurate readings of the battery as it didn't appear to be an Apple part. Roll forward 10 weeks. Woke to a dead phone. Odd, I could have sworn it was 60-odd percent when I went to bed. The mind plays tricks, so I just stuck it on charge. This morning was the third time it died when I 'supposed' it had charge when I went to bed. I seemed to recall it was 83% at bedtime. The meter tells me it was about 85%. Then at 03:00, it died. The battery charge dropped off a cliff. So it WASN'T my imagination. Nice to know, but a pain. The Amazon Return Window has passed, but I am going to double-check my consumer rights as I suspect that Amazon's T&Cs don't override legal rights - and a phone that goes from 85% to flat in the blink of an eye means it is: - Faulty (battery dies without warning), - Not fit for Purpose (not 'mobile' if it needs to be next to an outlet in case it dies without warning), - and it CANNOT be established to be As Described in that the inability of the battery app to accurately report battery health means there is no way to tell whether it is 80% or above, battery health (as claimed when offered for sale).. Lesson? If it says "Cannot verify battery to be Apple," - reject it immediately. It might be okay, BUT Amazon can only judge a phone on what the app reports (100% of battery life) whereas the app goes on with that disclaimer. Therefore, that 100% may well be pure bunkum. ALL THAT SAID (First Edit)... I contacted Amazon. All I can say is that it was a good experience. Sure, the Amazon Return Window had passed, but my Consumer Rights (under 6 months) gave me the option of a refund (possibly adjusted to show usage) - replacement - repair (once only allowed, after which a full refund is available in the case of the repair failing). Amazon took the order number and they already knew and applied the Rights. And so a replacement is to be with me within 48 hours. They even offered a full refund (I'd rather have a phone), despite the fact that the Consumer Rights Act states that if over 30 days but under 6 months, it can be adjusted to reflect use before failure. Original advice applies: if a non-Apple battery - REJECT IT IMMEDIATELY as the app may misreport the battery's condition - and that basically means no one can tell what the true battery health is - so the minimum of 80% means nothing.

Good Value Phone
This 2nd Generation iPhone SE (2020 model) arrived in basic packaging with just a short Lightning cable but the condition of the phone was excellent, as described. There really are no visible marks on the body or screen. But I would have preferred if they included the screen protector unattached as it was positioned off-centre and I tried to reposition it but ended up ruining it and eventually just replaced it with a spare screen protector I had from a pack I bought for a previous phone. You would not be able to tell this phone apart from a new one if the battery capacity was not reduced to 84%, which was a bit lower than I was hoping for but about as good as you can expect from a five-year old phone. I still get around ten hours continuous video playback in my tests and around four days on standby which is fine. The phone supports Magsafe wireless charging but you'll need to buy a special case to get strong magnetic attachment, I found a good one on Amazon for just £6. This is one of oldest iPhones to still have full support from Apple, and I had no problem updating to the latest iOS 26.2.1. If you are looking for a decent iPhone to use for next couple of years then this is probbaly the best budget option available. Recommended.

Maine Coon Kitten destroyed iPhone X
Kitten or the “culprit” now set as new screen saver on this iPhone SE 2020 64GB, destroyed my iPhone X to a near unworkable condition. I couldn’t afford to go out and spend £750 - £1,000 + on a new phone, so took a bit of a chance and went for refurbished SE. This cost a much more affordable £119. Condition was graded as “C” on box, but to me it looks like a new phone! No dents, no scratches and clean as a whistle. Delivery was special delivery 24hrs, so received phone almost instantly! Really top points for delivery! Exceptional. Battery is at 96% health as seen in pics. My only real issue that has caused me a headache is the 64GB storage, not enough to take on the iPhone X, and because my phone was so badly damaged I couldn’t remove things to get that memory down. However, I did it a different way, time consuming but has worked out pretty okay. My iPad is pretty much a clone of my phone, so did a full iCloud backup of iPad, had to increase iCloud storage so that’s now £2.99 a month. But I was already paying for 50GB, so in reality it’s an extra cost of £2 a month. Then I asked the iPhone SE to restore from iCloud, because all the photos are compressed this is now taking up 40GB on the iPhone SE. if you need a picture in full HD resolution you just click the cloud button and it will retrieve it for you. Also offloaded apps unlikely to be used on phone, makes them a couple of MB but all the data is saved in the cloud, so at any point you can pull it back. So this has been a solution. It ported in the apps, the passwords, I configured email so that’s all there, messenger was just a log in and its put all that on there. Whatsapp was a case of logging in and thats all gone on, the only thing it hasn’t gone on is contacts. Going to try and find a way to do this later on. If I have to do manually it will be a bit of an ache as about 400+ names and numbers to add! It did want an update to OS 16.6, not a problem, 30 min job. Not put sim in just yet, getting the whole thing fully set up first on Wi-Fi, sim will be last to go in at the end of today. Of course, you can spend more money and get 256GB phone and it will just clone itself. But that’s going to be £££ more. This way I should be up and running by end of the day for £119 - express delivery and to my eye a phone that looks new, with excellent condition battery. Plus I’ve ordered an extra tough case for it, so the “culprit” can’t do a repeat performance, so even if there were some fine scratches / signs of wear, they would be covered by casing anyway. So far so good, will be relived when sim is in, that’s the final step to make and receive calls. Highly recommend, just be mindful that 64GB is quite low storage these days, but as explained above, there is a way around that. A cost effective solution to a desperate situation that needed an emergency replacement. I’m also lead to believe “Wikipedia” that the A13 chip in the SE 2020 is an improvement on the X. Also, this is the fastest item I’ve ever had delivered bar a takeaway, and I live in the Channel Islands. Well impressed with delivery! Impressed with condition of phone “like new” and impressed at that great battery health. I was so distressed after the kitten pulled apart my iPhone X, and worried about replacement costs. I’m so relieved this option existed and hasn’t broke the bank. Think I’m converted to going down the refurbished route in the future, the savings are huge! Many thanks to the seller! 5******

Very bad and I'm very disappointed. Needed a phone urgently and was let down.
The renewed iPhone I ordered yesterday for same day delivery is not as described at all. Firstly, it's meant to be in "good" condition, meaning no scratches on the screen and a battery that still has at least 80% efficiency or whatever it is. The screen is literally covered in many superficial scratches, which I may have been willing to live with, but there's also three pretty big scratches, one near the centre and one near the top left corner, and a cluster of layered scratches all over the top right corner. You will notice I bought a case for the phone and a screen protector, but i haven't opened these, as I don't see the point in protecting an already badly damaged phone. Secondly, the battery. I couldn't charge it, as the cable didn't come with a plug, and I have no USB-C outlets or adapters. However, it had 64% battery when I powered it on, but it became 24% in less than half an hour. I powered it off, as I needed it this morning for an important phone call, but the battery had dropped to 19% overnight whilst powered down. Halfway through the school run and it was dead. If that's the lifespan of the phones battery when it's barely being used, it clearly won't be fit for purpose. This has been very upsetting and stressful. The reason I ordered it same day yesterday, was because my old phone died on Wednesday night, and I desperately needed a new phone asap. Now I still don't have a working phone, and looking unlikely I'll have one by the end of the day now too.

Great price and replacement for my broken SE
A few marks to back but new glass screen. It charges to 100% and does not seem to need charging any more frequently to my broken one it replaced. No corner dings either. Happy with purchase
