Works as-expected, a bit pricey
I bought this RB1280X2B replacement battery pack (2-batteries set by CyberPower ready-to-go) to replace a failed battery pack in my old CTS1400S (1400va) UPS. They came when promised, were delivered on-time and properly, were boxed properly and well-secured safe from any damage. They arrived fully charged. The existing battery pack was easy to extract (remove 2-screws from the bottom of the face plate, slide it down about 3/8" of an inch to release the tabs from the slots, and gently pull off) and the new pack was easy to slip in. It was about a 3-min project altogether. The hardest part was removing the power plug from the existing battery pack as it's a nice tight fit. After getting this setup I plugged int he unit and verified it was working, plugged in a very light load and simulated a power failure. I let it draw down to 80% capacity, then plugged it back into utility power to check for charging issues. It passed all tests and is now in service. The tech I spoke to at CyberPower years ago recommended as a rule-of-thumb no more than 3-battery rotations, the original plus two, but in any kind of production environment figure two rotations (original plus one replacement) then replace the UPS. This seems to hold true for us as after the first set of replacement batteries goes out, they charger circuitry is getting pretty beat up. All-in-all the CyberPower replacements have been a good value for us. I can't speak to "aftermarket" types, but it's worth noting the CyberPower-labeled battery pack we received was made by Leoth in China.

Great replacement, works as well as OEM.
I have a CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD, which is one of the models that takes two batteries. I was a little concerned because I had read conflicting things about battery compatibility. As others here have said, these work just fine, you just have to remove some tape and separate them. Getting the new batteries plugged in was way easier than I was expecting as well. The battery backup is back up and running, and for a fraction of the cost of a whole new unit.

You decide save $50
I did not know what to expect so ordered the official Cyberpower replacement $99 battery pack. It was a 3-minute project. Two screws, pop the front panel, unplug the old battery pack, slide in the new battery pack replace the panel and screws. It was very easy - but was it worth $50? The RB1280X2B consists of two batteries joined with a connecting plate. The batteries connect to the plate with push-on terminals. The two batteries are held together with tape. My included battery pictures are the original batteries which look very much like batteries $~50 sold from China. My original (Leoch) batteries were manufactured in China. If I have to change the battery in 5years I will DIY and save $50.

CyberPower RB1280X2B UPS Replacement Batteries - good experience
OEM Batteries, packaged very well, arrived on time, and were undamaged in any way. Kudos! Replacement was pretty straightforward - unscrew two screws on the bottom of the faceplate, slide the faceplate down toward the bottom of the unit, and lift. The old batteries are easily accessible from that point out - just remove the plate holding one of the batteries, then wrestle (I mean that!) with the wires to take them off, remove old batteries, replace with new ones, reconnect cables, put the retention plate back (2 screws there also), then slide and secure the faceplate, and you’re done! Oh, just make sure to power down and unplug the UPS - no need to get jolted! The batteries I received actually were the upgraded version of what I purchased. Overall, a very uneventful replacement, which is exactly what you want!

Worked perfectly to restore my CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS
As others have commented my CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS suddenly stopped working, even though the front panel said the battery was okay and fully charged. However it would just shut off if the AC was unplugged, or if a self test was attempted from the PowerPanel app. However it's seven years old, so I figured the batteries needed to be replaced, and this RB1280X2B battery did the trick. I plugged and unplugged the UPS AC numerous times to test it, and the UPS works perfectly again, with no power glitches when switching modes. There is one critical caveat owners of this model need to know - there are actually two incompatible battery types for it. And the only way I could find out what I needed for certain was to chat with CyberPower and give them my UPS serial number so they could look it up and tell me. One last thing, the PowerPanel app is essentially worthless now, at least for this UPS. It can't read the battery charging status any longer, or even the model and serial number. And when I looked in Device Manager I discovered the CyberPower driver is from 2006. So it's best to just uninstall PowerPanel and use the built in Windows 10 battery app. It works fine for basic monitoring and control of this UPS. Note that after uninstalling PowerPanel you also need to uninstall its driver, or the default Windows 10 app can't work. To uninstall the driver open Device Manager, expand the "Batteries" section, right click on the "CyberPower" entry, and then select "Uninstall this device". A confirmation window will pop up, then simply make sure to click the "Uninstall device software" checkbox and then press the uninstall button. After this reboot, and the default Windows 10 battery icon will appear in the Taskbar. I assume this will probably work on Windows 11 as well, but I don't run it so I can't know for sure.

Works fine. But you might need a different battery part number
After using UPS products from multiple manufacturers, CyberPower UPS are the best I've used. Also, the batteries come with a CyberPower certified label, meaning they're OEM or at the very least approved by CyberPower. But the reason for this review is to point out that the description for this item states that it's compatible with model CP1500PFCLCD. It's true, but incomplete. According to CyberPower Systems specs for this model, this battery (RB1280X2B) should be used for units with a serial numbers beginning with CR9, CXF, or CQC. For CP1500PFCLCD units with a serial number starting with CXX, owners should buy Battery Cartridge RB1290X2 instead. This information can be confirmed at CyberPower Systems website. It could be the reason why some reviews say it was somewhat complex to install the new batteries. They must be compatible (same specs) but not exactly the same. Model RB1280X2B comes with the two batteries connected to each other, which would require them to be disconnected before being installed to a "CXX" CP1500PFCLCD unit, while RB1290X2 comes with two separate batteries. So double check your CP1500PFCLCD serial number before buying this Batteries.

Correct batteries for CyberPower UPSs vary a lot based on model and generation
After reading the reviews here, watching some videos, etc. I feel fortunate that I got a battery pack that fits my UPS correctly, albeit a bit tightly. Installation required some grunting and cursing, but I got it working in a reasonable amount of time. There are very many flavors of CyberPower devices even within some model numbers, and the instructions provided with this battery pack are not entirely clear - My exact model of Sine Wave UPS was not listed without a cryptic two-byte prefix. The only part of the instructions that was correct was to remove the front panel, but it doesn't exactly explain how to do that. In my case it was two screws at the bottom, then the panel slid off toward the downward direction. If you are reasonably good with tools and electronic stuff, you can probably figure it out without too much hassle. My battery pack arrived with about a 65% charge on it according to the PowerPanel Personal application, though it took several minutes for the software to figure it out. Good product at a reasonable price, but beware. Maybe calling CyberPower tech support to make sure you are getting the right battery pack would be a good idea.

I tried the generic batteries only to have them die in a week. Save your money and buy the real deal

Works great and fair price for genuine battery.
Excellent replacement battery straight from the manufacturer. Fit perfectly and took my CP1500PFCLCD back to like-new runtime of around 15 minutes at half load. I got about 4 years out of the original batteries. The old ones still worked but only lasted about 30-60 seconds so figured it was time to replace them. I’m happy with the price. Cyberpower seems to have reasonable replacement battery costs compared to other big manufacturers, which is great. Just be sure to check your original battery type before ordering. There are two types for the CP1500PFCLCD. If yours has a wire terminal hanging off the batteries, you need a different “A” type battery. This one is the “B” type with a socket between the batteries. Some of the other reviewers left negative review for this reason so be sure to check yours before you order.

Very pleased
I wasn't absolutely sure my problem was with the battery but I called Cyber Power's tech support and they suspected it was a battery issue. From the serial number he confirmed my CP1500PFCLCD was built in 2011 (I bought it in 2012) and that typically batteries last 3-5 years. He also confirmed my battery was the RB1280X2B model. Ordered the replacement battery on Amazon (thanks to other reviewers for flagging there are two battery models), it arrived the next day and took 10 minutes to install. Hardest part was getting the front panel off (after removing two screws the front panel slides down and then off). Installs very simply and works perfectly. Very pleased with this product.

This is the correct Part for this Model .
Had a strange issue with front panel wires getting in the way after I tried to close everything up . Had a look , unplugged and re-routed the wires the way I thought they should go and everything clicked back into place . I had the previous battery for 8 years and had 187 Events on the System . Reset the counter and let it do its thing . It did come fully charged BTW .
