Awesome watch!
I usually do not do reviews on things but this is one I feel sorta passionate about. I can't say enough about this watch. Its truly more beautiful than what the pictures reflect. This SRPE93 has became my daily wear watch. I have several (quite a bit) more expensive watches but this one ends up on my wrist probably 5 or 6 days out of the week. I love the diver style watches and this one has characteristics of the classic Seiko "Turtles" but yet reflects a somewhat newer style. A great combination of both. Just a sharp looking watch, imo. As for actually using this dive watch (it is ISO certified for diving), I did test it on a recent week long SCUBA dive trip and wore it all week (along with my dive computers of course) on 12 dives, deepest I got was 101 ft so it help up nicely and did not miss a beat including it getting banged around on the dive boat (on tanks, rails on boat, etc etc). It was also very easy to read and see at that 101ft (I was in the Caribbean so it was very clear so keep that in mind, I was never trying to read it in murky water but I think you would be fine). The luminous hands are great, just hold it in the sun or ping it with a flashlight for a few seconds and you are good to go if you need the hands to be bright in the dark. For example if you hold it up to lamp before going to bed and you wake up hours later in the dark it is easy to glance at the watch and know what time it is. If you are looking for a great looking watch that will hold up to any water activity (I would not use this for saturation diving of course) including snorkeling, swimming, rec SCUBA diving, water skiiing and so on, this is a great choice. Keep in mind it is an automatic watch and not quartz and does not take a battery. If you are not wearing it you will need to keep it in a winder, or just set it and wind it when you wear it (if it has died). If you wear it daily there is no need to wind it as the movement of your wrists will keep it from needing wound. I keep mine in a winder when not wearing it but I am pretty anal. I prefer an automatic. I think my only knock would be, once in a while the strap comes out of the little band keeper but not very often (prob just gets caught on something); interesting enough I don't think that has ever happened when diving or swimming (when wet). Of course you can put some other strap on if you wanted to! I hope this helps.

Best automatic dive watch at this price point.
This is a high quality dive watch at a very fair price. In terms of case quality and dial finishing, it’s in the same class as Swiss watches that cost 10x the price. It also carries the same water resistance rating as Swiss competitors with MSRPs in the thousands. It wears nicely even on a smaller wrist (6.5”). It has been more accurate than the manufacturer’s stated accuracy range when worn daily (I lose ~2-10 seconds per day on average). The silicone strap is high quality and very comfortable. The lume is very bright too and also comparable to Swiss competitors and it is highly legible in all light conditions. My only regret is getting a US market model with the English/Spanish bilingual day wheel instead of an English/Kanji model (just a personal preference). It’s also important to note that the crystal is hardlex and not sapphire, but I’ve been wearing this watch daily for about a year and haven’t managed to scratch it. Overall I would highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a professional quality dive watch. It’s perfect for people new to the automatic/mechanical watch collecting hobby or for seasoned watch enthusiast who appreciate a true tool watch.

Don’t rule it out for a smaller wrist
I ordered this as an “Amazon Prime Try Before You Buy” deal. Honestly, when I ordered it I had no intention of keeping it. My daily wear watch was a Seiko SKX013, which I had chosen because I was concerned that a larger dive watch would look silly on my 6 and 5/8” wrist. But after 8 months with the SKX013, I started to think that it might be nice to have a watch with a larger dial that didn’t look so short and squat. Plus the only straps that I liked wearing it on were some unusual curved rubber ones. So I ordered the SRP777, which is a much larger Seiko diver, just to see how it would fit. When I opened it up, I was immediately impressed by how legible the dial was in comparison to my own watch. The thick lume on the markers gave it a nice layered look that my old watch was lacking. Otherwise, the dial looked comfortably familiar, even down to the beloved “blue Saturday” of the SKX. But it did look big. How would it wear? Well, when I tried it on, I was shocked by how well it looked and felt on my wrist. Much better than my old smaller watch, in fact. I attribute this to the rounded cushion shape and very short lugs. It sits nice and flat on my wrist with no overhang, despite the much larger width and slightly longer lug to lug length. It is definitely large and heavy, but not unnecessarily so. It has a simple and utilitarian look to it, with absolutely nothing flashy or eye catching. Yet it has a subtly elegant shape and curve to it that I really admire. And a nice level of finishing that makes me feel like I am wearing a quality watch. As far as the strap goes, it is significantly softer and more flexible than the old plastic feeling rubber straps that came with the SKX. The stainless buckle and keeper are a bit bolder than I prefer, and I am not a fan of the bulky wave strap look, but for now it’s comfortable and wears just fine. Eventually I will swap it out for a real Tropic strap, which will be a great match for this reissued classic. After a week of daily wear, it was about 35 seconds off, so accurate enough for my needs. So yes, I am very pleased with this watch, and have a new daily wearer. If you are a smaller wristed person that can’t find a dive watch that fits right, you might want to give this one a try. Of course Seiko also makes the “mini turtle”, but I don’t think it’s really that much smaller than this one, and lacks the vintage look and guarded 4 o’clock crown. The “slim turtle” looks great, but costs about 3x as much. This is a great deal. UPDATE 13 months later: I have worn this watch everyday since buying it. This includes an entire season of beach lifeguarding, which is not easy on watches. It has been in and out of the salt water many times a day, covered in sand while working out on the beach, slapped on my wrist over greasy chemical sunscreen, worn while picking up heavy sandy things and people and moving them around, and it has held up marvelously. The stainless steel case and the hardlex crystal have both proven remarkably scratch resistant. Running at about -10 seconds/day, acceptable. No regrets!

Great watch for collectors at a great price. This watch is just as accurate and more comfortable than other watches in my collection that cost 10/20X the price.

I read the reviews and responses from the seller prior to ordering. I made sure to order item that is "Shipped by Watches Gala" instead of "Shipped by Amazon". Delivery was faster than estimate at checkout. Watch is brand new in the box with plastic wrapper still on metal clasp (taken off before photo) and the back of the watch (pic#2). Watch came with warranty card. Love this watch. Very similar to my broken SKX007 (but with new movement that has hand winding and second hand hacking). Overall, a good buying experience. I would recommend Watches Gala.
