Will the opening fit on a 2 inch pvc pipe?

Yes. The pocket is on the narrow side of the cloth and measures about 7-1/4" in circumference, so it will easily fit a pipe with a 2" outside diameter (about 6-1/4" circumference).

Does it block light well? (I would like to use it as a backdrop, but also to solve my "window in the background" problem)

As long as the light hitting the front of it is brighter than the light hitting the back of it, you'll be ok. I have that same scenario. You can also try putting a V-flat in front of the window to block the light or put room darkening curtains on the window, or hang room darkening curtains behind it, or even maybe put them on the rod with the backdrop over it.

What size backdrop stand should I get for it?

I got the regular photographer stand that you can purchase from Amazon. The rods at top connect by bars. So you don’t have to use them all in order to get the right size/width.

Can the backdrop be hung on a wall, if you don't have a photography stand?

Yes, it’s can be hung on a wall, fairly heavy material so doubt if Velcro will hold.

Great product! The clothe is really thick and so the backdrop is wrinkle free itself. The photo I posted here is straight from the package. I haven't had time to iron it. But it still looking great because of the material. It is kind of a velvet textured clothe and it is thick enough to block the light very efficiently. Great for event backdrop, portrait, product photography and for youtube videos. Height is good enough for full figure photography - size reference: a Queen mattress size. Colour was accurate as shown in the display (Abstract Light Grey )
