Laxmi Natural Tea Masala - Traditional Indian Tea Masala - 3.5oz (100g)

I had been looking for this for ages, because this brand of tea masala is exactly what lets me make a perfect Persian tea. It's got just the right combination of spices that imbibe a great flavor to the tea without making it spicy or overwhelming. Great value for money, great texture.

Very peppery. I thought that since it was the last ingredient listed it would just add a bit of punch. Nope. Mostly pepper came through in my tea. Not what I was looking for. Thankfully it was a small and affordable packet. I think if you like a heavy pepper flavor you’d love this.

Best tea masala I have tested

I used to my tea masala from a local Indian grocery store. However with COVID I am limiting myself on the amount of times I physically go into a store so one product shopping is not something I want to do at this time. The value was excellent. The flavor is good except it has a bit more kick/bite to it than I like. I will not buy it just based on my flavor preference; however I believe it is a product worth trying if you like your tea masala to be stronger in black pepper spice.

I love this spice mix. I mix it into my tea every morning and it only takes a small amount, 1/8 teaspoon. It makes my tea delicious.

Tastes good in tea with milk and honey. Spicy and delicious.

I should have listened to Sam's review (May 2017), this thing is nothing but PEPPER. Hot and spicy, no doubt, but there is no smell or flavor other than pepper. When I first opened the bag, there was barely any discernible smell, which I took as a bad sign. It should have blossomed with the smells of cinnamon and cardamom, but it didn't. There was a slight scent of old ground pepper. Added a spoon full into my tea, and the only flavor was pepper. To top it off, the flavor was so spicy, it numbed my tongue to the point I could barely take a sip of tea every 10 minutes. Ended up dumping the tea out. I don't like wasting food so I will attempt to mix this powder with some fresh spices.... but NO pepper!!!
