Great Speakers
I got these refurbished and they work great, i assume a lot get set back to the manufacture cause bluetooth can be a PITA to get working and people assume it is defective I have always used cheap speakers (<$10) and have never noticed any issues with them, so you know i am no audiophile I needed to get some speakers with a built in volume control and seeing as how i got this for my mom who dislikes cheap speakers (i can't understand why) she was impressed with how loud they are for there size Where I work we have a set of the non-wireless version of these so i know they get very loud, you can easily hear it on the other side of the where-house at about 75% Now seeing as how i plan to use this with a Raspberry Pi A+ to replace my mom's antique radio (wireless version of these were cheaper) Given a Raspberry Pi does not have a very high end audio chip there is no point to my understanding in getting super high end speakers, to my understanding Going in i had no expectation of bluetooth actually working, but it did work, took a minute to get it to show up though Using Xubuntu 16.04 after install pulseaudio-module-bluetooth and restarting pulseaudio and i was able to get it to work as a audio sink My bluetooth chip is a part if a Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 Right now i am streaming music from my Raspberry Pi B+ Server to my Laptop which is playing music in firefox via HTML5 (17% volume) firefox is as 50% volume and the main software speaker is at 100%, and finally the T12 volume is at 50% and i think my music sounds better than on my normal speakers, audio pre-amping is set at 0, so i guess the volume is at 57% Some people have complained that the left speaker is not wireless connected to the right speaker, did you really expect anything to ship with 2 separate power bricks? you would have to get power to the second speaker somehow the cable that connects the 2 speakers is about 5ft, the volume control is on the right speaker there is only 1 con that i can find, it does not come with a short 2.5mm audio cable, it these are marked as wireless so that was expected Edit: I got a second second set my self and i did a experiment, seems they will play from both wired and bluetooth simultaneously. so it does not prioritize one connection over the other and disable the other, while trying to figure out where i wanted to place these i found that the 5ft rca cable was not long enough then i remembered that i bought a RCA extension (monoprice PN 656) some years back i did do a little research on bluetooth, speakers tend to use version 2.0 or 2.1 version 2 and 4 are not compatible with each other, however there are dual mode adapters, not all 4.0 adapters are dual mode Package includes: 1 Right speakers (built in rca cable) 1 left speaker (with volume knob) 1 1.5A 12v power supply

Not bad for Bluetooth wireless, but Mac users take caution
Since I'm mainly a laptop-only computer user, I decided to buy these speakers in order to reduce the amount of cables I need to plug in and out on a daily basis, sort of like creating a wireless docking station. These aren't audiophile speakers by any means, and the discerning listener would probably be better served by a USB DAC. For a casual listener or for someone who also has a better audio system, these speakers sound very good for their size, especially when it lacks a subwoofer. As for style, it is minimalistic, but it's appealing overall. The only flaws would be: 1) Lack of bass for heavier parts of music, movies, etc. 2) No tone adjustments. 3) On Macs, speakers will take over the headphone / audio out port. It's annoying, but not significantly so. 4) You have to hold the Bluetooth pairing button for a few seconds for the devices to recognize the speakers. Overall, the Creative Pure Wireless Bluetooth Speaker System T12 gets five stars for fulfilling two specific requirements for me: 1) Very good sound 2) Wireless capability -- UPDATE 12/17/2011 There's apparently a "bug" regarding the poor Bluetooth audio quality on Mac OS X systems all the way up to Lion. Initially I thought there was something wrong with the Creative speakers, but after playing my iPad through them and found no audio quality issues, I concluded it has something to do with my Mac laptop. Without getting into too much technical detail, the problem lies with the com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent settings in the user's Preferences folder. Do a search for "mac os x bluetooth audio quality" and you'll find various discussions and fixes on how to correct it. It's not easy for the average user, so I would suggest holding off using these speakers or any Bluetooth audio devices with any Mac OS X computer until Apple addresses this. If you really want to fix this, you can use the terminal command line or downloading a preferences editor, such as Pref Setter ([...]). I tried this, and the sound quality coming from my laptop dramatically improved. In short, there is nothing wrong with the Creative T12 Pure Wireless Speaker System.

Missing my Pandora Radio
There are a few things that I'd like to point out about these speakers. Pro #1: The sound is incredible and they fit nicely on a desk top. What other people have said in their reviews is true. Pro #2: They are nicely weighted and the rubber feet keep them from moving on whatever surface you have them on. Con #1: It took me over 1/2 an hour to get them to work together. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and that may have had something to do with it. I noticed in other reviews people had the same issue. In addition there are no instructions. It tells you what to do with the usb adapter, but not how to troubleshoot if you're having issues. Once I got them to sync, the sound was great. Con #2: These are not truly wireless speakers. They have an ac adapter for power and they connect to each other with a speaker wire that is about 3 feet long. If you want to place these on either side of a room or in an area larger than a desk, you would not be able to. Con #3: The speakers themselves are not covered with anything like a protective fabric. Con #4: I had them for a week and one of the speakers started having static/white noise coming from it. I didn't have a new pair sent sent to me because now I'm skeptical of the quality. Even with the cons listed above I was ready to keep them until the white noise starting coming from the one speaker. These are a good value for the money

Excellent speakers for the size and price. The lows and highs are all surprisingly clear. These speakers are also extremely loud and powerful. The sound may become slightly distorted if you put it at an uncomfortably loud (near max) volume. However for my personal use I would never need it to ever be that loud anyway - not even close. The Bluetooth also works very well. I have actually bought two of these to give to my parents.

the sound its good. I connected my ipod and my cellphone (Android) and it works fine. Unfortunely, at the moment i can't connect with my laptop (i alredy activated my bluetooth). I need to spend more time for resolve my problem and i want to think that the problem is on my laptop.

I love these speakers. Great sound quality and they can go pretty loud. I never really have the volume over half as that is loud enough for my room. The bluetooth works flawlessly with great quality as well. I love that they will play from both the bluetooth input and the wired input at the same time. I may just have to get a second pair.

Love the Bluetooth feature. Good sound. I just wish it came with a remote (on/off, volume)... I use it to listen to music on my iphone and I have it plugged into my TV to watch movies. Does the trick. I am sure that a sound bar could deliver more sound, but since I live in an apartment, I would never be able to take advantage of that, so this is great for my use, and it's way cheaper than a good sound bar.
