Easy to install
I have a Pentair intelli-touch control panel and a Mobiletouch2A remote, vintage 2008. The remote finally quit. I called Pentair and was given 2 options, a new remote called an indoor control panel or this screenlogic2 system. Our older system requires a remote to set or change schedules. Also, itโs a pain to have to go into service mode to turn off the fountain, use the cleaner (off the last schedule programmed prior to the remote failing), etc. The ScreenLogic system was cheaper and I decided to try it. The antenna installation was easy since I had one on my old system. I used the same wire and just had to change the connector that plugs into the antenna circuit board (the colors were opposite on the old antenna). Took 10-15 minutes at the most. Now for the inside work. I used a YouTube video (one that has a part 1 and 2, youโll find it). It was very easy to hook up the system to my router. 10 minutes at the most. I downloaded the app and it discovered the ScreenLogic system immediately and that was it! This system works great for us, and I had it installed in less than 30 minutes. My ancient remote was fine and I wouldnโt purchase this product if it didnโt fail. But if you need a remote (your iPhone in this case), or just want to be able to control your pool from anywhere, Iโd highly recommend this product.

Very easy to install and runs perfectly with virtually no setup
Purchased to replace/upgrade 4 aux remote control to "cloud" control. I would suggest you purchase this Interface/Wireless adaptor combo unless it is easy for you to make a direct ethernet connection from router to service box. This review is for this wireless connection kit/interface combo: Installation could not be any easier - Hook up interface to router with included cable, connect inside receiver to interface and included wall wort. Affix provided tx to service box (or wall if you have connection problems), wire it to com 1 in service box and close it up. Install app (in my case from Google Play) and, magically, it works! It came pre-configured so entire installation took about 10 minutes. The instructions are very detailed making it seem more difficult on paper than in reality. Kudos to Pentair for making such a robust and easy to install product. As I looked through other reviews, it was plain to see the negative reviews were from people who either had bad systems to begin with (one said they need to replace the entire pool system, yet they are surprised they cannot get this add on to work. Others seem not proficient enough to follow the very easy directions. If you still have problems at home like a 12:00 blinking on your VCR, hire an installer.

Love the scheduling. Hated the panel I used before this.
I'm using this with Pentair 521150 EasyTouch 8SC-IC60 Pool/Spa Automation Control System with Intellichor Transformer and Cell . My needs: I'm using this to monitor and configure my Intellichlor IC60, an Intelliflo VS, a Spa w/ 3d party heater and 3rd party 2 speed pump. I barely read the instructions past telling me to get the latest version of software from the website. I also need something that can help me program some light schedules. Configuring all these aux circuits is a pain for me using the panel on my EasyTouch. If this doesn't simplify the scheduling, I'm returning it. Install time: 20 minutes. (I'm not using the wireless stuff yet. It's still in the box) Set up time: 20 minutes. (Picked up an IP address, connected with screenlogic, and set up some stuff) Problems: I had a connection to the device drop out once. I'm not sure if it's the cat 5 cable going to the interface. That cable is an older run of mine. I got back in a few minutes ago and it hasn't dropped out yet. Everything is scheduled and I do see this as an easier alternative to scheduling all my circuits, which I love. I do believe this is WAY too expensive along with most of Pentair's products but I'm satisfied. -- Once I get my spa fully piped and the 2 speed pump rewired I'll update my review.

Surprisingly useful (for a Pentair controller)
This works surprisingly well. My bar wasn't high to begin with: When it comes to pool management technology, j think Pentair still thinks it's 1992. Even the original wireless controller with our Easy Touch system still has to re-sync its connection every time you want to use it. So I wasn't going to be surprised with a finicky system here. The Screen Logic interface was easy to install and set up. The wireless bridge reminds me of the old microwave bridges we used to install for wireless communications between sites - line of sight is king. My original plan was to install the wireless bridge inside the house and just on the other side of the wall the panel and antenna were installed on. That connection was very intermittent. I relocated the interior adapter to a window on the same side of the house, with an Ethernet jack to my home network nearby. That setup seems to have done the trick. A couple of notes on using the app: 1. The instructions, whatever little of them there are, suck! 2. The interface allows you to control all aspects of the Easy Touch system, but it's not terribly intuitive. 3. The key to using the system is to go slow and let your button pushes take their time to commit. Remember, this system sends its signals via COM port, so don't be click happy with it, as you may be used to being with a "normal" app. Easy does it tends to get the best results. This interface it turns out is a lot more reliable than I expected it would be. I actually bought this interface so that I could control my Intellibright LED lights. We installed new Intellibright lights to replace our original pool and spa lights, but then learned that our wireless controller - the only one we have for the pool - was an older version that couldn't manage those lights. A replacement controller was actually more expensive than this whole kit (WTF Pentair???), so I went win this as it also offered far more. Overall, I would say this controller has been at least as reliable as the original wireless. Our expectations shouldn't be so low, but existential debate aside, this has worked out.

Excellent Wireless Pentair ScreenLogic h/w, s/w for Pool Complete Automation System when used with Easytouch Controller
Awesome, top of the line, just working completely and fully functional as Advertised the Wireless ScreenLogic2 Interface software for Desktop PC and Android Smartphone (my brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 7) Here is the review I left earlier for Pentair Easytouch 8PSC-IC Singlebody Pool Automation Controller System I am loving this product. It works completely as ADvertised and Fully Functional. My Booster Pump and Intellibrite LED 5g color Lights are connected to 2 Aux ports and all controlled through my PC and Android Smartphone "ScreenLogic" App.....Just absolutely FLAWLESS, IMPECCABLE and no issues, there were some problems in the beginning but after calling Pentair support line, got full understanding about ScreenLogic Software programming capabilities and was able to diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. I along with Pentair or even my Professional Pool Maintenance team crew can now remotely access the Wireless "ScreenLogic" programming software with the assigned user configured password and make appropriate changes accordingly to optimize your system It's way too cool and my pool has now converted and upgraded into full blown up Automation system along with Salt PPM level display, LED Lights etc. All my Main Pool Pump (Intelliflow) Filtration (bought new Pentair Cartridge one), Sun Solar Thermal Heating along with My Booster (Pentair BOOST RIDE) and LED Pool Lights are all hooked and configured to EasyTouch 520705 Single Body Controller and all controlled through my Desktop PC (gives me v good info about actual watt usage for each connected machine) and Android App. AM LOVING IT< LOVING IT and LOVING IT

Very nice addition to the pool!
I love this kit. Costs the same as the pool side remote replacement, but it is so much more convenient. The bulky and wonky remote died and using this is such a relief. Setup is a breeze if you can use a screw driver. Everyone in the family can operate pool features now using their phones and donโt have to replace batteries each month. Make sure you understand that this kit must plug into an Ethernet switch or router in your house. It is not a Wi-Fi enabled tool. The wireless communication between the EasyTouch controller and the transceiver in your house is proprietary to Pentair. The included protocol controller needs to plug into your home network This is the only downside for this kit. You would have to upgrade the pool controller to IntelliCenter to utilize your Wi-Fi network directly.

Stay far away from pentair
This is my second ScreenLogic 2 interface kit, the first installed earlier this year by a pool installer for a new pool worked reliably for a week and then only 40%-50% of the time after that. After many repeated trips by the installer I called Pentair who told me that the kit needed to be replaced, they would not replace it under warranty for me even bough the dates on the equipment clearly showed it was under factory warranty. After trying for months to have my installer work with the Pentair rep to have it replaced I ordered a new kit myself. The new kit worked perfectly for 4 days and then nothing. These products are worthless and Pentair nor the people that represent them stand behind them. Iโm sending my new kit back, the seller was helpful with the return!! I am having my brand new equipment replaced with Jandy after being recommended by several people and installers, it sucks to spend another $4,000 to replace Pentair products (under warranty) less than 6 months old. I forgot to mention my pentair electric valves all leak also

Easy to install if you have some common sense
Very archaic system. The indoor white square box and antenna look so out of place next to the other internet/cable boxes. Other than that, it was very easy to install for an experienced DIYer. I was fortunate enough to already have the outside antenna installed for use with an old school remote control. (The home I just moved into was a model home with all the goodies installed) well not alllll the goodies-I had to install this, better control unit that can utilize the iphone app. Anyways, I unscrewed the old antenna enclosure that looks like it is giving everyone the middle finger and installed the oval shaped plastic enclosure you see in the picture. The new computer card would have easily slipped right into place of the old enclosure but it had two years of florida sun beating on it and it showed...also-did I mention it looks like it is giving the finger? In my case I did not have to use the 10-20 feet of 4 wire cable that you see wounded up in a circle in the picture. I used the ethernet blue cable that was already installed. I simply unscrewed the wires from the old computer card and screwed in the wires onto the new card. I will say I had two wires twisted together for each hole. The last install used all 8 wires that are normally found in an Ethernet wire. That wasnt an issue. The inside install is straight forward if you read the instructions. There is NO need to drill a hole in the wall to run wires to your router, etc. Some reviews state such-total BS! The whole idea is to use wifi signals to communicate between the router and the outdoor Pentair smart boxes. Once everything is installed the actual set up of the app and the screenlogic is pretty easy for someone used to setting up simple wifi connections. Good luck! BTW as some have stated-this unit is more likely worth about 50-75 bucks. almost 400? give me a break. Three stars for unattractive units with little engineering expertise utilized in manufacturing of said unit. included a pic of the old set up items

Solves the cable connection and replacement issues of direct connected units in northern climates
Not totally clear instructions like most Pentair documents... Butbone correct comm port used it was perfect... Cinnected immediately and the latest software is an improvement Tibet the older version.. Changed to this after replacing Ethernet cables repeatedly with cold winters... Also improves reliability as controller unit now inside the house in climate controlled spot.
