There’s no padding at all. **Q: how to adjust for half size** A: After reading other's reviews, I decided to go down by a half size. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and purchased an 8. It fits perfectly. I like how they look and find them comfortable to wear. It looks and feels like they were made with decent quality materials and I did not find them slippery to walk in. They are on the more normal to narrow side width wise so I do not recommend if you have wide feet but length wise I found them true to size for reference my largest foot measures 26 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I typically wear a EU 41 and a US women’s 10 or 10.5. One thing to note, the sole is pretty firm and there is a heel, so if you prefer something with a flex and 0 drop this is not for you. My only gripe is with the ankle strap, I wish it was adjustable so I can make it tighter for a better fit and I worry that over time it will stretch out too much to wear anymore.
