This stuff is great. Easy to use and it adds beauty to whatever you use it on. Love the color. It dries fairly quickly. The smell isn’t great but it dissipates rather quickly. So far it’s been very durable on the few projects I’ve used it on. Still planning to use on many more things. Will definitely buy another tube when this one runs out. The price seemed steep for a small tube but it’s thick and a little goes a long way.

Let me start by saying, I think this paint is great! Yes, a little goes a long way. But as for ease of application, I’m not sure if it was because I was working on metal, but it was a little tricky to get on there in a way that looked like it was covering and consistent. No way could I have done it with my finger, I definitely needed a cloth. But sometimes if I rubbed Too much or too hard. It would just rub off what I just put on. That said, I certainly managed, and I was able to do two of these lamps in less than 30 minutes, even with a little bit of struggling. And they look amazing! I can’t believe I have gold lamps for seven dollars, Lol! Gold stuff can be so much more expensive, so now that I know about rub and buff, I can just buy things that are silver, and make them gold myself. I still have about half of the tube left too!

I have an antique gilt wall mirror that's been in the family for years. It's traveled across the country a couple of times and now it was in my home and ready to be hung. I had to call a professional in to do the job and while he was hanging it he noticed that some dope had put a piece of adhesive tape on the top of the frame and that the tape was old and starting to curl up. Without thinking about it, he just grabbed the end and pulled it off. He was shocked to find the gilt finish under the tape come completely off as well. This left a bare spot right in the middle of the top of the frame - where it stood out like a sore thumb. Well I found this AMACO gilt finishing stuff and it arrived yesterday. I wasn't ready to work on the frame but I wanted to look at it and make sure the color was a good match. I squeezed a little bit out on a paper towel and decided that the color looked pretty good. I then took the towel with the little bit of gold goop over to the frame and held it up next to it and it still looked like a good match. Then something made me go ahead and tap it onto the bare spot. And in about 12 seconds the bare spot had completely disappeared. It was the easiest 'fix' I've ever attempted on anything and the result is just perfect. If you're restoring an old gilt picture (or mirror) frame, this stuff is a dream!

Reasonably easy to apply fairly evenly (not perfect). Took some shiney gold from gauche to gorgeous with an antique brass look!

I have so many requests for this beautiful color. I use it for custom hardware finishes and the durability it amazing once cured. Easy to remove with mineral spirits if you go overboard. A little goes a long way and 1 tube can last a very long time. No odor that I can smell.

L'article à presque mis un mois à arriver mais c'est un excellent produit ! Je vous le conseil, je l'utilise pour un cosplay et rien qu'une noisette de peinture recouvre une énorme surface. Produit ultra pigmenté m'a permi de faire : un katana de 1m47, un casque ultra détaillé, un bras d'armure ainsi qu'une ceinture et des petits ornements d'armure et je n'ai même pas utilisé la moitié. Je recommande grandement ! Sur les photos que j'ai joint il n'y a qu'une couche de peinture, je n'ai pas repassé dessus.

I was sceptical about how this would work but looked at a few videos of the product in use before buying and I’m glad I did. It is so effortlessly easy to transfer anything into a different colour and give it a new lease of life. I bought it to change the frame colour on a framed print I bought at a charity shop and it worked great, painted over a brown wooden frame with Antique Gold Rub ‘N’ Buff and it’s completely transformed the framed print to go with our decor. Easy to remove as well with a microfibre cloth and some white spirit.

Lassen Sie sich von der geringen Größe der Tube nicht wundern. Bei richtiger Anwendung ist das Produkt sehr ergiebig. Nachdem ich mir ein paar YouTube-Videos angesehen hatte, habe ich einen Bilderrahmen von Silbergrau in eine Kombination aus Silbergrau und Antikgold umgestaltet. Es ging blitzschnell und hat die Wirkung des Bildes komplett verändert. Das Foto zeigt das fertige Produkt.
