My package of this tea was tightly wrapped in plastic with another sheet of plastic around it. The tea itself is small, tightly rolled, dark green pearls and has a nice aroma. The taste is very good. A great tea for the price. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Yes, it is strong and a bit darker than the open leaf green tea, that is expected. Unlike some other reviews, my packages were intact and the tea inside was almost all rolled leaves I. The form of pellets, not a powder. Since I brew it with a custom mix of herbs, stronger and. Vegetal flavor is better for us. It ca. also steep longer than the open leaf. Nice aroma! I have used this brand for more than a decade, but first time buying it online where it is cheaper than store. A little goes a long way. You should try it if you haven’t, but be open minded the first time.

1) Positive: This does not look like your typical gunpowder tea that is rolled up in little balls or nuggets. It is more like chopped tea leaves or middle grade tea (with tiny parts and powder being low grade and full leaf being high grade). However, it definitely has a gunpowder tea flavor. It is a strong green tea. It is a great everyday tea and of good quality. It is also more than 2 lbs making it an excellent buy. 2) Negative: The packaging is the worst I have seen. The thin plastic wrap was broken on delivery. Inside the box the paper wrap is not enough protection. Immediately remove the tea from its packaging and store so as to avoid light, heat, and moisture. I keep some of the better packing I receive when purchasing teas for reuse and that is where mine went as soon as I opened it. 3) Shipping: I am making this public in an effort to facilitate a change. My tea was left at my front door. No, they did not ring the doorbell. No, they did not knock on the door. Yes, I was home. Yes, I checked the front often. No, they did not leave it at the back like I usually request, but such requests have been ignored in the past. The obvious problem with the front door is that I live on a busy street, there is a fast food restaurant next door, there is a bus stop in front of my house, a commuter train stop in front of my house, and a pedestrian marked cross path with flashing signs right in front of my house. How anyone can be so careless and unprofessional as to leave a package of any kind in such an overly public place is beyond reasoning out. Hence, my need to add this to my review in the hopes that public awareness will promote a change.

I’ve used this tea before, but this box is a complete disappointment. The tea is very dark when brewed and has a taste more akin to dark tea than green tea. I’m not sure I’ll buy this tea again. The tea also has a lot of stems and very fine crumbs, which makes it look like it’s from the bottom of the barrel.

I love this tea! The taste and aroma is uplifting and watching the leaf balls slowly open in the hot water is therapeutic for me!
