I used these lights for the holidays and after. They work well and I don't have to turn them on individually. With the remote, they all turn on.. The only issue is that when the light are idling (off) the batteries wear down. But other than that, A good buy.

Finally a remote and timer tealight that uses 2032 batteries. 2032 batteries are so much easier to find in stores without having to order them. These tea lights are bright white (not warm) and this was the only option offered. It’s a small tealight that has a flickering light. The timer can be set with the remote for either 6 or 8 hours.

This is an incredible invention. I have had the tea lights with the timer on them, and they last no more than a couple of weeks. I was forever buying more batteries or lights. With the remote lights, they have lasted over a month already and are not dimming as of yet. This is due to being able to turn them off and on when needed. I wish I knew about these lights a long time ago.

I have now bought this brand SEVERAL times. Great....in the beginning. BUT the batteries last only a VERY short time. I think I figured it out. If you look at the candles closely when they're "turned off" there is a tiny glow and looks like the candle is still on. I took a batter out of a candle, looked at it again, and the candle did not look like it looked prior to taking out the battery. I'm guessing the candles NEVER are off, consequently the batteries die real quick.

Update: battery life isn't great. About 20 days later they are almost dead. 3 lights i used almost daily for 8 hours or so, the others i did not and are still almost dead. The battery will drain even when not in use, im assuming its from the remote. Perfect little tea light, they have the right color glow like a real candle and fit perfectly in little votives or in decorations. Love the remote function, however you have to point at each individual light to turn it off of they're in separate places but I don't mind. I haven't tried the timer function yet or tested the battery life. I do wish they had a more noticeable candle flicker, it is faint.

I had previously bought the non-remote controlled set of tea lights from this same manufacturer, and I liked them but it was a pain manually turning them on and off when needed, so I invested in a new set with the remote. The IR of the remote is very far-reaching and it turns on all the tea lights at quite a distance even if vaguely waved in their direction while pressing the button, so that's great. The color is a neutral, but not cold, white, with a gentle flicker that isn't annoying. I mainly wanted to use them for the holidays, and every time I would turn them on with the remote I would press the 6hr timer button so they wouldn't be on all night. Unfortunately after a couple of days of using them, I found that I would wake up to a couple of the lights still on. Later, I would manually turn off all the tea lights with the remote before bed, and I would still wake up to some of them having turned themselves on. The rest would turn themselves on in the evening. I think there's something wrong with the timer function, and after having been used for only about 7 days in total, most of them don't work at all as the batteries have drained (in spite of not being used every single day, and I would manually turn off the switches underneath them the few times I was out of town). Since these use the coin type watch batteries, I'd have to buy a ton of them to make these tea lights ready to use at various times in the year... not worth it in my opinion. If the batteries had lasted longer or if these tea lights were rechargeable I would have been more inclined to give them a better review, even with the timer issues.

I wanted these lights for some Halloween pumpkins in my yard. I turned them on the first night using the 6hr timer on the remote, and every night they all automatically come on at exactly the same time. It’s perfect, and means I don’t have to turn them on manually every night, which is especially nice since it’s getting colder! The flickering light is nice because it looks real. I’m not sure how long the batteries will last, but they’ve been going strong for a week! They were ready to go when the package arrived. I just had to turn each one on, and then pull the piece of plastic out of the remote so it would work, and that was all!
