Hydraulics Reservoir LT 2.5L

Awesome bladder. I already have one of these so i know what i can say about it. Stays relatively flat even when full, awesome all the way around. OSPREY doesnt fool around!!! Great quality on the slide top and all components. Nothing feels chinsey, even though the bag itself is kinda thin, the material is strong. Recommend freezing with lemon juice and lemons in water 2/3 full before use though. Lots of plastic/rubber taste when you first get it. To be expected from all new water bladders. Bite valve is excellent and the magnetic clip is my favorite feature. Excellent option if you wanna scoop your water straight from a stream, with the slide top mouth and hard lips it is easy peasy. The fact that the tube splits with a quick connect, filtering is a breeze if you have a clip in filter. Filling this thing with a gravity system would be just as hassle free. If you dont need the rigid back panel the LT model is the way to go, it is the lightest of the hydraulics line and will last you a very long time. All around the best choice when it comes to water bladders, i think. Be sure to get a cleaning kit though. Cleaning the drink tube could keep you from getting unnecessarily sick.

I loved having this hydration pack — it has a great capacity, and the quick-disconnect was very helpful when refilling. It is lightweight, high quality, and happily it lacks the typical plastic taste of lower cost brands. The water bladder lasted a few months until it got an abrasion tear — probably when I fell while my mountain bike.

REALLY! About 4 days ago I woke up thinking there has to be a better water bladder design. Every time I fill up my Humpback (you know the one) bladder it swells up as big as my leg and takes up half the pack. I thought to myself, what we need is a bladder with an internal panel that makes it keep it's shape. I thought to myself of the $$$millions that I would make and how adoring fans would stand in line just to thank me. Then I looked on Amazon. RATS! Right there before me was this Osprey 2.5L bladder designed just for me. It does not hurt that I also have an Osprey pack. Seriously, this may be the absolute best design that I have seen. The V that you see is two "welded" in panels that keep the bladder from ballooning into a sausage. When fully filled it is about 2" thick and should easily fit any pack designed to carry a bladder. The hose can be easily routed left or right as required by your pack. It also has a quick disconnect inside the bag that allows the bag to be removed with out having to reroute the exterior part of the hose. The magnetic clip to keep the mouth piece in place for easy access is simple genius. I could go on about how easy it is to fill etc etc etc but instead I will say that if I had build my own bladder it is pretty certain that it would look and work a whole lot like this one does. Of course, I will miss my adoring fans but at least I did get a great bladder and did not have to make it myself. Absolutely recommend this.

Beautifully made. Very functional. 1) opens not with a screw-on cap but with a slide off plastic crimping thing. Then the entire top opens like a ziplock bag for easy filling and cleaning. 2) the tube detaches close to the reservoir so once you install the tube in the shoulder strap, you can leave it in place and remove only the reservoir for filling and cleaning. This is super convenient and a smart idea. 3) the bite valve easily pulls off so you can clean the other part of the tube and let it dry out for storage. 4) no chemical taste or smell 5) compared to that other leading brand of reservoir packs, this is in another class entirely 6) the magnet by the bite valve is a great feature. Installs on the sternum strap to hold the tube steady during activity. Downside: it's expensive!!

I picked up this water bag to use in a 22L Ortovox backpack. It is high quality and has a nice tube which splits in two about half way through. This is a great feature because you can leave half of the tube in you pack strung through the shoulder outlet and still remove the bag for filling or cleaning. There is a bit of a taste (perhaps plastic/factory), but it's not too bad. Should go away with time. One item to note is that the bag is quite tall. In my backpack it has to fold over a bit when hanging from the strap in the backpack. This hasn't caused any issues, but it's good to know about. Pros -Holds a lot of water -Materials are quality -Hose breaks apart into two pieces -Seems durable Cons -Taste (not too bad) I'd buy it again. If you have a small pack, you may want to size down.

This is the best hydration reservoir I have used. Great design offers (1) a handle to help carry the reservoir; (2) fold over and zip top gives a wide opening and no leak closure; (3) the hose connection point is at the midpoint of its length rather than at the bottom allowing for much easier in and out from my backpack; and (4) The magnet stay for the mouthpiece is great and very useful. I also noticed the yellowing of the plastic on first use - wish it didn't happen and not visually very appealing, but doesn't impact utility. Osprey should work on this. Materials are thinner than others, but over 300 miles so far this season and no leaks from anywhere.

Had never owned a quality reservoir before this osprey, and so glad i finally got one. -The bite valve works great with good flow and not alot of pressure needed to open. - chevron baffles keep the water from pooling in the bottom, keeping it comfortably on your whole back. -havent had any wierd taste to the water from the materials inside. -easy andfast to fill -magnetic hose attachment included. 2 things to note The first time i tried filling it up i belived it was broken, you really have to peel the moth apart hard to the point where it feels like you are gonna rip something. Its easy after that as simple as unzipping the top. The second thing is the strap attachements are pretty small and wont work foron wider backpack straps.

Another great reservoir. This is my third Osprey Hydraulics LT 2.5L and will always be a loyal customer. A few years ago, one of the units developed a leak in one of the seams and Osprey replaced it. Great product support and customer service.

Déception à l'usage de cette poche. Le système qui permet de détacher facilement le tuyau pour remplir la poche sans tout défaire se détache tout seul dans le sac après une seule utilisation dans ces conditions très softs et sans contact avec autre chose et dans un sac à dos adapté muni d'un compartiment dédié. Pensant que c'était un défaut j'ai demandé un remplacement de produit mais aucune différence. Très gênant quand en pleine rando votre tuyau se détache tout seul. Dommage, sans quoi j'aurais adhéré.

2,5l ist eine gute und nicht zu schwere Größe für längere Touren. Schlauch-System ist durchdacht und mit dem Magnet am Brustgurt wirklich praktisch. Passt perfekt in meinen Osprey Syncro 20 und bisher ist nichts ausgelaufen. Im Vergleich zu anderen Wasserblasen, wirkt diese qualitativ hochwertig und auch das Mundstück sollte eine hohe Lebensdauer erreichen. Klare Empfehlung!

It’s a little more expensive than the 3rd party options but the Osprey bladder is fantastic. I bought this 2.5 l version to go in my Osprey Stratos 24 pack. I could have easily used the 3 l option as well. Love the detachable hose for easier refilling without having to snake the whole hose and mouthpiece out of the pack sleeve. No bad ‘plastic’ taste/smell after an initial quick wash w dish soap and water. Would probably go to at least a 3l if not 4l for my Stratos 36 pack.
