Buy a Spare
I've purchased two of these from different manufactures. They last 12-18 months then just stop working without warning. The first one died at home and I just put med in refrigerator. This one died during a trip, 300 miles from home. I had to find a large container and ice to keep my insulin cold. They are fantastic when they work. Just beware they do not last very long.

Keeps my insulin cold on trips
It keeps my insulin in safe temperature range during trips by car, plane and ship. I have used it on all 3 and never had a problem, battery lasts plenty long enough (over 8 hours) to get to my destinations where I can plug it in.

Destroyed all our medication!
This product completely failed to work. While it did fine for a couple of days, after about 4 days it did not even cool down at all and even heated up past the temperature of the room and was hot to the touch! It destroyed the functionality of all our expensive medication. Do not purchase this product!

Short Lived
It's less than 2 years old. It died while I was out of town, Fortunately, there wasn't more than 2 doses of eye meds. I should have bought the product plan.

Insulin friendly frig
Very happy with this small frig for my type 1 diabetic for college. I needed something that was at a constant temp to keep insulin cool. It can fit up to 8 insulin vials. You do not need the battery if you are not traveling and the machine can stay plugged all the time to stay at a desired temp.

Great for travel.
We have a older small dog that uses insulin. This is great for in the car as we travel a lot. Even going to the vet to pick up new insulin is 30mins away. Like that is has battery back up.

Poor design. Several flaws
The power buttons are on top and they get hit and turned off when holding the unit. The case flips over due to the placement of the straps. Even when charging for more than 15 hours on a flight the battery dies within 2 hours unplugged. I returned for a refund and ordered something else. I was not comfortable that my meds were safe since the unit kept shutting off it battery dying.
