A HUGE timesave, easy to use, and made the project so much simpler to accomplish
Wish you could give more then 5 stars on this product. This is a REALLY cool product. I just remodeled my basement, and had to cut about 300 outlets (ok, 9, but thats still a pain!). The drywall had been up for years with outlets, but we had decided to panel. So, I was looking at having to carefully measure and cut each, and hope I had everything lined up perfect (which I am NOT good at, by the way). I happened across an article about this product in a woodworkers blog, and so ordered this to give it a try ($20 was worth the effort if it even kind of worked). Opened it, grabbed my rotozip, and less then 1 1/2 hours later I had the whole room paneled and cover plates reinstalled.. Pop the target into the outlet, hang the paneling, find the target with the box piece, trace around it, and zip it out. It cuts JUST outside the edge of the box if you follow your lines closely. Take your time following the lines, and your existing plates work great! WARNING!!! From experience (and cutting through one of the targets): MAKE SURE YOU TWIST IT ONCE CONNECTED!!! You want to make dang sure that you caught both magnets, not just one. I was getting cocky near the end and didn't check one. OOPS! These magnets are strong, so once you "find" the target and the magnet grabs, just twist it left and right. You will quickly be able to tell if both magnets grabbed, or if you are just floating on one. If you can easily twist it, keep turning it until the other magnet lines up and it snaps into place, then trace and cut!

good
i recommend this it saves a lot of trouble and gets the job done right

Good enough. Could be better
Handy. My only suggestion would be lose the two magnet set up and go with a bar magnet. Once the wall covering goes on, if you catch one magnet and miss the other, you're half a box off.

Highly Recommend
This tool made cutting the drywall for outlets SUPER EASY! I have recommended this item to several people already. Simply put the magnet plate into the outlet, put up the drywall and then put the backer plate in the general area of the outlet until it sticks. Mark around the plate, cut the drywall and you're done. For the price of this item, you can't afford NOT to have.

Did not fit my GFCI and did not work through cabinet backs - worked with modifications
I ordered this to help me align outlet holes in the backs of cabinets to the outlets on the wall. I had several problems but did work them out and with modifications got this item to serve its purpose. These did not fit into our GFCI outlets and while I was trying, one of the little plug/knobs that go into the outlet broke off. So then it did fit, with just one knob holding it in and I found that it didn't work for my purpose because the magnet couldn't stick across the 1/8" gap between the back of the cabinet and the wall. Fair enough. (I do wonder how it sticks through things like tile in that case.) Modified it by taping the outlet piece to a piece of styrofoam and then taping that to the outlet so it was extended away from the wall. Pressed the cabinet up against it and then the other piece was able to find the magnet and stick. Cut the hole . . . and it was off by about an inch. Ugh and sigh. It was user error, but be warned this is not simple dumb fool proof. Check, double check and experiment. Overall glad to have this in my tool box, even broken and requiring modification.

A+++ Sometimes they just get it right!!!!
This tool is really incredible. Why didn’t I think of this?! I have done some built in cabinets, I didn’t have this gadget the first time and it was unreal the amount of steps and double checking that has to be done without it, and I still was off! This tool made it so fast and so easy! Beware though, there is a step that I didn’t think about, I’m sure it’s in the Instructions, however, I just figured it was simple and I went after it. Make sure the arrows are both pointing the same way, if it’s opposite and you aren’t paying attention, the magnet will still grab and it seem like it’s connected perfectly, but it will be OFF, so double checking that. Maybe they will have a sensor light on a newer version that goes green if you’re good and red if you’re bad. That would make a simple, perfect tool more complicated though, it’s really perfect. 100% get it, it saves the day!!! A++++

Best product for installing outlets!
This product worked exactly as advertised! Very simple to use, and I was installing beadboard in a bedroom with existing outlets. This product made the job much easier and it marked the outlets precisely for cutting out the openings in the beadboard. I would recommend this to anyone installing over existing outlets, and the 8105 for new installations. I did not use it to cut out drywall, but the magnets are very strong, so I imagine it should work okay there too.

Works perfectly even without an electrical plug.
Saved me a lot of time, used tape to hold it in place because I did not have an any reciprocal installed. 👍👍👍

On Taeget
Haven't had a chance you use kit on site yet! Tested on a scrap piece of drywall and it did exactly as advertised. Must remember to mark index points on drywall and floor etc., for easy line-up after cutting hole!

Works BUT won’t fit USB and GFCI spacing
I love this design, BUT does not fit plugs w breaker or usb ports. The prong distance is off. Plastic is a little on the brittle side so I have long term concerns about it floating around a tool box…. Overall works great.

Efficace
Fonctionne très bien et je le recommande fortement. Il est même suffisamment puissant pour fonctionner à travers une feuille de contreplaqué.
