I had different odor issues on each floor of our home and have been desperate to solve them. It was embarrassing to have a smelly home. There was a musty/damp smell in basement, lingering cooking odors from kitchen that would spread throughout the house, and "bathroom" odors in a second floor bathroom that doesn't have an exhaust fan. I bought this 3-pack and placed one in each problem location. There was an INSTANT and dramatic difference within the first 24-48 hours. I want to emphasize this is NOT a fragrance product. If you're buying the "lemon" scent because you want your home to smell like lemons, this isn't it. This is an odor ELIMINATOR that neutralizes bad smells. In the first few days, you notice whatever scent you purchase if you're close to the container, but it certainly does not fill a room after the first few days. Basically, this will make your space smell neutral. Since each jar was working overtime on tough smells for a whole floor of a home, the pack lasted about 14 days. Time to refill, and I'm happily making the purchase. *PS. SUPER excited that they came out with pretty glass jars. Buying that next!

I’ve used the Fresh Wave odor removing gel in both the original and lemon scents, and both smell great. It’s one of the most affordable options I’ve found on Amazon, especially since you can buy a larger size and divide it into smaller jars to place around the house. Unlike many odor eliminators I’ve tried that only mask smells, this one actually seems to remove odors. I usually know it’s time to replace it when the gel has fully dried out and stopped working. I also like that it’s refillable, which makes it easy to reuse the containers instead of constantly buying new ones. The appearance is simple and discreet, so it blends into most spaces without being noticeable. It’s also lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the house or place in different rooms as needed. The gel has a slight adhesive quality that helps it stay put once placed, without spilling or shifting around. I also appreciate that it’s eco-friendly and safe to use around pets, with no harsh chemicals, and the scent is genuinely pleasant without being overpowering.

This stuff is my go-to! I have four or five of the containers that I reuse and place throughout my house. With two cats, I want something that helps eliminate odors without filling the house with an incredibly strong fragrance, and this does exactly that. The scent is very clean and fresh without being overwhelming, and I can genuinely notice a difference when I replace the gel after it has started to dissipate. It does a great job of keeping the house smelling fresh without making it obvious that I'm trying to cover up pet odors. My biggest complaint is the new packaging. I understand that it's more eco-friendly, and I appreciate that, especially since I reuse the containers. However, the new refill packaging makes it a little harder to pour, and the gel can be somewhat sticky and slimy because it does leak. I have one of the plastic refillable containers, so I ended up using that and disposing of the cardboard containers. Overall, I keep coming back to this product and will continue to buy it. It's especially great if you have pets and want odor control without an overpowering scent.

Best odor eliminator I’ve found. We moved into a new home and there were lots of odors from previous owners. The house had a very strong scent. The kitchen was the worst- cabinets smelled of spices, etc. I tried everything: cleaning them with soap, vinegar etc. put charcoal based and baking soda based odor absorbers in the cabinets, and nothing helped. This is the first product that worked for me. They have a strong scent when you first open them but that goes away quickly and they really absorb the bad smells.

We have a dual-sink vanity in our main bathroom. My husband's side has had issues with some water leakage in the past, which I thought we had fixed. Even after some time, there has been a musty odor in the cabinet under the sink, like you'd experience in a basement back east. We live in Southern California where basements aren't frequently found. I decided to try this particular odor eliminator gel container option, versus a more expensive brand which has been aggressively marketing itself online lately. This one has a fresh lemony scent, which is nice. It has helped with the smells under that sink, but it seems messier than I expected. I went to pick it up and check the scent, and my hand came away wet from the underside of the container. I didn't have time to figure out where that moisture was coming from. Logic suggests that the container is leaking itself. Why would that be? The appearance is utilitarian - nothing special. It is fine for inside a cupboard or other hidden space. It's not a design that you'd want to have prominently on display, though. The price point seemed fair. The ingredients were touted as being natural; another reason that I chose it. I will have to figure out why I was getting wet fingers from handling the jar. What I discover will likely color my decision on whether to order this product again.

I need more of these living with boys involved in numerous sports. I have them hidden in their rooms to combat the smell. I do wish the scent lasted a bit longer.

I do like this gel as I do find it works pretty effectively. It is just so pricey!!! The price seems to keep going up and up, even with all their packaging changes. Buying it in this tub keeps the price somewhat reasonable per ounce, and it should last awhile - not too sure if I will be able to afford a refill again once I am done with this tub considering how it keeps going up! But, for now, this should last me a bit.

A skunk died in our subfloor. Then it rotted. Then it's scent gland rotted and permeated the whole house with the fragrance of a 1000 skunks at once. The smell abatement has been horrendous. Inevitably after about a week - we figured out where in the subfloor it was (after cutting a few holes into the subfloor from the crawlspace.) Skunk removed. (Full gasmask necessary.) Then the insulation was removed. Then virucide applied and then a odor absorbing fogger. Ran fans indoors and in the crawlspace 24/7 for weeks. I mean WEEKS. It was still lingering because I'm pretty sure the skunks chemicals seeped into the porous wood and walls in the area of the house where it died. Here's my pretty positive review for this product: once the animal was removed this product was the most helpful in removing the lingering whiffs of skunk that would seep up into the house. However, to note - YOU MUST HAVE CIRCULATING AIR moving over the gel. It doesn't work effectively if it's just sitting there - we have a fan on low circulating over the pots of the odor absorbers and that is what is actively helping to mitigate the smell. The downstairs closet is the worst and I have six of these on the floor in there with a fan on low running 24/7. Even when I open the closet door (we've taken everything out of this closet too aside from the fan and the odor absorbers at this point), if the fan has been running over the air fresheners, I can't smell the skunk. If I leave the fan off for 24 hours, the skunk smell, which is definitely still releasing chemicals from where the smell seeped into, the skunk smell re-pugnifies the closet despite the odor absorbers. So yes, these work great, if and only if you have air circulating over them so their odor absorbing molecules can move around and bond with the skunk smell molecules to neutralize them. I find the smell of the product to be fine - I'd prefer no smell - but my comparison is the smell of 10,000 burning rubber tires over rotting flesh, so.... this is great. I hope this never happens to you. But if it does, remove and replace everything you can, then run fans (and keep all your windows open, we also do this) for forever and buy a lot of these to help mitigate the smell. I'm hopeful we're nearing the end of this plight, it is much better than it was six weeks ago but has required a ton of work (and $$$). May the force be with you.

Amazing product! I use one in my car and it totally absorbs the smoke smell. It's not like an air freshener but definitely an elimator. Car doesn't smell like cigarettes in the morning. It does have a subtle essential oil lavender scent which is nice. I use the second one by my bong in my room. (This in combination with a smoke buddy eliminates any ordour). The issue is not smoking it, but opening my container. Nothing gets rid of the pungent skunk except this product! Air freshners help keep the room smell nice, this helps absorb the source Would definitely recommend

Honestly the only thing about parenting 2 kids under the age of 4 was the number of smells I’d be dealing with. Did someone hide a cheese stick somewhere? Does a diaper need changing? Did the baby barf somewhere? There’s just always a smell. No matter how much I clean I always can smell something. Yet I didn’t want to spray a bunch of chemicals around for my babies to inhale. After reading many reviews I decided to try this. I don’t know how it works but it does. I will admit the lemon scent was very much like citronella when I first opened it but the smell dissipated quickly and now everything just smells neutral. It’s been a little over a week and I ordered the huge refill size of the original scent. I’m putting it everywhere!

It is chemical free and removes odors without any overpowering fragrance. *Still waiting for this product and I checked that it was ok for unattended delivery like always. *Update: The product is excellent but the Japanese delivery service won’t leave it in front of our door as requested. Other items are left conveniently by our door as requested on my preference page but perhaps it’s because it is bulky which is not an excuse.

Nice fresh smell when opening. Only had it a day so can't report yet if it keeps odours away. I'm using it in my kitchen living room (apartment) to hopefully get rid of any lingering cooking smells.
