Red Star Distiller's Yeast (DADY), 1 lb.

I highly recommend buying this if you are wanting to make multiple batches. Single serving packets are alright if you are first starting out. But, as I become more knowledgeable and wanting to make more batches, this is the way to go. It's NOT turbo. Low and slow here. This yeast makes more usable product with a better tasting finish than the single Turbo yeasts. I am currently on batch 11 (eleven). It has been 17 days and is still bubbling. Some may say it should have been finished already, but I say "low and slow" makes for great times.

Is working well for wine, had some basic yeast that either immediately stalled or might not have been active. Instructions said quarter teaspoon per gallon but I tossed in a full teaspoon to see what happens, started in an hour or two, pretty good for the money if you like wine and table wine

It’s a good product it works for what I use it for, also I don’t think it has any additional taste to the end product. Some yeast can do that

I had amazing luck with the first bag of yeast that lasted a long time, always storing it in the fridge. This new bag has been a nightmare. Does not do anything. Will be branching out to try and find a more consistent product between purchases. Update: just gave it a bit more time than usual but all is ok with it, changing my stars to 4.

Been using this yeast for a few years, its the best yeast that I have found to work flawlessly in my distallation hobbies. Keep it refrigerated and you cant go wrong

I purchased this for my many brewing projects, There is lots of yeast to complete many projects, I proofed the yeast before casting and it is very active! Next batch is working and I will order more shortly, my first order came fast and we got going with it as soonas we got. Cheers!

This yeast is great distilling yeast. Perfect for your whisky’s, rums and things of that nature. However if you are making a simple sugar wash or quick neutral vodka. I would definitely save yourself a TON of money and buy a simple high quality bakers yeast which will produce the same exact result for a much lower price.

La levure ne réagit pas du tout Très déçu du produit, de plus c'est bien de mettre un commentaire pour protéger les autres personnes afin de ne pas l'acheter, mais moi qui a acheter cette levure qui ne réagit aucunement je dois être rembourser par Amazon a qui je payes un abonnement mensuel.
