This is a big beast but it can handle a lot of air. Well made and not overcomplicated to use. Seems to work very well. Very quiet at low setting.

I did a lot of research before buying this and I'm glad I did, I have severe heyfever and this unit has helped tremendously. The reason I picked this particular purifier is: 1. It has a very effective sensor which means you can leave it on all the time and it will spin up and down automatically to remove any pollutants present as and when required. This means it's quiet and energy efficient and just gets the job done without you even knowing it's there. 2. When you turn your light out at night, it automatically goes into nighttime mode, turning off the majority of it's lights (and dimming the remaining two) whilst slowing the fan down to the point where it is virtually silent (I can't hear it anyway). 3. It has a proper carbon filter not a impregnated sheet like many other machines. 4. It's filters are in the correct sequence to get the most life out of them and it also has an easily removable, cleanable (like a tumble dryer) pre filter to protect the main HEPA and carbon filters. Many competitors omit this reducing filter life. 5. Its just the right size. Big enough to be able to run very quietly during normal operation and clear a room quickly if you had to (for example burnt toast setting off the smoke alarm) and yet not too big to be crazy expensive. The consensus seems to be if you need a more powerfull unit than this you are probably better off buying two units than a bigger single one. 6. It is properly certified and Winix have a good reputation for building solid high performance machines which are great value. The thing that stunned me the most was just how sensitive and quick reacting it is. My partner had been in the garden and walked in the room and it pretty much instantly detected the pollen coming off her clothes and ramped up for a few seconds to clear the air then span down again. If I had to say anything bad about it, it's that it doesn't have a way to run in auto mode without having nighttime detection on. Because it's so hot at the moment we are closing the curtains which is sometimes leading it to prematurely go into night mode.

Great item Definitely helped with the allergies as I have a cat. And works well in a big or small room. You can switch of plasma mode. And filter is decent enough to last a whole. I leave it on for a few days to make sure its clean and I have felt the difference It is abit loud but really I dont care, I was expecting it. Like a floor standing fan noise with a little bit more. Do not buy the smaller air filters. I have A1AD, which is basically COPD. I'm very sensitive to pollution now, both outdoors and indoors. I used to have an older 2014 model plasma wave and it's still working strong but I couldn't take it with me when I moved. Being broke from moving I decided to buy a cheap £30 air filter with apparently HEPA and carbon filter (V important). However it became noisy, and the carbon filter got saturated very fast as there wasn't much of it. Aka waste of money and my health suffered. This is expensive but, like the last one I bought, as soon as I plugged it in, fresh beautiful oderless air. I'm not sure how effective the air monitor is compared to my older model it doesn't scream red and blow like crazy when I fart or anything, kinda disappointing. But it works and the design is nicer, smaller and more user friendly when changing filter or moving it. It's also quieter. This is a top piece of equipment. Looks it and feels it. The blue light also goes off at night and you can turn off the plasmawave for germs. Practically 0 noise even on normal mode. Very pleased.

Only been using this Winix Zero + machine for two weeks. On opening the box I saw a well packaged piece of equipment and was surprised how light weight and compact it was. The set up was extremely easy, simply remove the front cover and plastic film on the two filters and insert them, plug in and off you go. There are various settings on the machine from automatic, sleep mode, timer and even a wifi option. Variable speeds from high to low and turbo, and also a useful childlock to deter little fingers. The unit can be used via an app on your device once downloaded and this is suitable for both Apple and android products. the app us very easy to use I have already noticed the benefits of this machine in removing the harmful pollutants which aggregate asthma and airborne allergies. It removes minute dust particles and pollen and helps reduce odours within the home from cooking, smoke and pet candle flane smoke etc It is ultra quiet in its operation and I have used it both in auto mode which goes to sleep in darkness hours, and also on manual which remains on and operates during the night. This has helped greatly in getting a better quality of sleep and the only sign it is running is the colour changing light on the front of the machine. We did keeo checking that the unit was still running fir the first couple of night . I have not noticed an increase in electric consumption since using this Winix Zero + machine.so it appears to be very economical to use I have it running 24 hrs a day. The only maintainence required is the removal of the front cover and carefully vacuuming the front filters. The machine has a light which illuminates when filters need changing, which according to the detailed instruction booklet is approximately every four months. We live in a large house and this machine is more than adequate to purify the air in our property, despite its small size. The only negative I have come across at e moment is the absence of wheels to move the device. Failing this, small pads could have been provided to protect wooden flooring, however I have rectified this by attaching small cork pads to the four corners. In summary, this machine is in my opinion a market leader and far outperforms similar devices I have used previously over the years. I have noticed health benefits to myself and other family members, and visitors to my home have commented on the lack of cooking and pet odours on entering the property. First air purifier I have bought ever, and I have to say its definitely doing wonders, the air is much cleaner, and I have stopped cleaning dust every 2 days, its finally settled in so nicely that even a bi-weekly dusting is enough, it wont get rid of all dust so dont expect that, but it will significantly reduce the amount of dust. The air it pushes through when deodrant is used its quite surprising, within a couple seconds it senses the deodrant and the air is pushed throughout the rooms, with the smell gone in less than a minute. Great little machine, the only complaint for the night mode is the extremely bright white led for the icons, but I can live with that. its dead silent it surprised me how quiet it is, the cars outside are louder in the evening that are streets away than this. Comes with NO remote control, as others have stated, but fairly simple to automate, chuck a hue smart plug or any smart plug on it and it will intergrate nicely with HA or any automation. The only downside is that you still need to manually turn it on even though the power is switched on, but that can be sorted with a small touch motor. great project. Filters are simple to replace, and they fit snug. No weird smell or anything in the air even with the Plasmawave enabled. Though it does kind of represent the smell of a hospital that is freshly cleaned.
