Is the bottom of the pan smooth or ridged? I want to use it on a glass cooktop and it must be perfectly smooth so as not to hurt the stove.

You want the RAISED colored ridges as seen in the photo of the bottom of the pan. Otherwise the silver aluminum contacts that glass cooktop service and leaves PERMANENT marks on the glass cooktop. You cannot get them off 100%... I learned this the HARD WAY with my last stove. It still cooks EVENLY.

It ships in one -two months??????

Can this be used on an induction stove?

Dear Consumer, Thank you for your inquiry. The Farberware Nonstick 6-Qt Covered Jumbo Cooker is constructed from heavy-duty aluminum that heats fast and evenly to help reduce hot spots that can burn foods. Although NOT induction suitable, this saucepan is suitable for use on glass, ceramic, gas and electric stove tops. Oven safe to 350°F, the saucepan is also dishwasher safe for easy clean up. We hope this information is helpful. Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you. Sincerely, Danelle Consumer Relations Representative
