How much height it will support? 10 ft?

It is very light weight I would recommend no more then 3'

This bracket does not include a pole. It includes U-Bolts that allow it to be mounted to customer provided poles up to 2 inches in diameter.

will this work on the eaves so I can get an angle vertical?

The bracket tilts up 70 degrees from horizontal, so if you have the clearance past the roof line you could get almost vertical.
