Ortlieb Downtown QL3.1 Purple Saddle Bag 2016

I have this bag and I love it. First, I bought this in Germany so it was less expensive. Now to the review. I have had a great many panniers this is by far the best and if you want a daily commuter bag that can do it all - then look no further. It is quite roomy...it has a laptop pouch to protect your PC. It has internal pockets so you can keep your pens, paper, and cell phone safe and sound. It has an attached key strap so you'll never lose your keys. It has enough space to take an extra set of clothes (and shoes - depending on your packing) with you on your commute. There is even a bit of space to stop by the store to get some booze on the way home! I love the shoulder strap so you can take it into the store with you comfortably. However, I must say the best feature is the quick release! Just pull up on a strap and the bag releases - pull up on the strap and put it on the luggage rack and it falls into place with no effort - on the bottom it has a hook that holds it so it won't flap. I commute in my work clothes so for me this is the one bag that can do it all....leave work...put it on...unlock your bike...head to the store...get groceries for dinner...and head home! I love it! It has replaced my messenger bag and pannier! Never leave home without it!
