Humble Math - 100 Days of Money, Fractions, & Telling the Time: Workbook (With Answer Key): Ages 6-11 - Count Money (Counting United States Coins and ... Learn Fractions, Tell Time - Grades K-4 : Math, Humble: desertcart.in: Books Review: I became a Humbolt math fan the summer between Kindergarten and First grade when my son’s outgoing teacher suggested he do some repetition practice in math facts (at the time it was 1 digit addition and subtraction). It was Summer 2020 and everyone was looking for workbooks. Fast forward to a move from Florida to California, factor in homeschooling, and I turned to humble 3 times this year for 2nd grade math! We used parts of this book the summer between 1st and 2nd. Saved the book for later in the year, and circled back to the workbook when we were ready to develop and master the concepts in money, time, fractions and word problems using the like. The fractions go beyond a 2nd grade level expectation (denominators stay the same, but still beyond what the 2nd grade TEKS mention) but we decided to go for it and expand his understanding! I’d recommended having manipulatives on hand for the fraction unit, or at least note cards or cheap paper plates and scissors if you need to demonstrate fractions. We celebrated finishing the unit book by combining all the activities in one putting for real world math! Picked up a giant Costco pizza (asked for it to be uncut). Went shopping and I gave him my budget and he had to do “live” math on a paper as we shopped, and I had him track our time and I’d ask him in the moment questions like “if we have to meet Dad at XX o’clock, how much time do we have to complete our shopping” or “how long did it take us to look for all our produce items” or whatnot. For what it’s worth I taught fractions before division and this seemed beneficial when we approached division because as my son out it “division is just fractions of the bigger number!” Review: This book has great reproducables for homework or skills remediation. I used it alot with my learning support students to supplement.

These are great books for summer breaks. I just wish the pages tore out.

This would have been a 5 star review but I am very unhappy with the new binding. I prefer the old binding; this one just has 2 staples in it...not the quality I expect from this book. I used many of these 100 days books for my son and now I wanted to buy them to have for my daughter in a couple years (just in case I cannot get them later). The problems are good. I assign a 0.5 to 1 page per week of each topic just to review and keep my son practicing. I have seen others say there were no options for correct answers, but I think they read the question incorrectly. Two reviews show Day 3 of money and say there are no correct answers. The question says which is equivalent, not which coins are shown.

Very good quality for the price. Thick pages and worked out better then finding sheets to print on the internet for summer learning.
