I wasn't seeing any comprehensive reviews and so I thought I'd try to provide one. At first I ordered a large, according to the size chart, and it was WAY too big for my dog. I exchanged for a Medium and the fit was beautiful after I moulded the end to conform with the shape of my dog's snout and cheeks. She is a 75lb mixed breed with St. Bernard in the woodpile. My dog's measurements are 11 inches around the muzzle (measured at the widest point and that is just below the eyes) with her mouth closed and 3.5 inch snout length measured about half an inch below her eyes (sorry about her tear-stains, she's had two surgeries for entropion and her eyes get dry now). In reading around the web about muzzle fit: 1. The end of the muzzle should NOT touch the end of the dog's nose; 2. The basket Must be large enough for them to open their mouth to pant; lick their nose; and drink. The muzzle is great quality and my dog can sniff on walks, do the above points 1&2, and take treats. There is a loop at the bottom which I like and her secondary collar is attached to it. This holds the muzzle in place more securely. My dog is other-dog aggressive (not reactive, she's all about intent) and I actually find the muzzle more beneficial for me than her e-collar because I'm more relaxed now that she's wearing one. As we know, our energy state/frame of mind matters because the dog can feel it and their behaviour is proportionate to our mental state. It's important to adjust the centre strap properly in terms of length so the muzzle doesn't pop up. It looks like it has in the first picture but that's the angle of her head. The muzzle does move a bit but not out of place. Instead, is seems to move with her and I like that. The slot in the muzzle for the centre strap is a smidge too wide and so I do find I have to readjust the strap from time to time, especially after she shakes. I'd remove half a star for that if I could but I'm rating this muzzle a 5 anyway. This muzzle is well-made, durable, easy to clean, and it's easy to form to your dog's cheeks and snout following the instructions provided. Safe and happy walks!
