Rothco Tactical BDU Cargo Pants

This is the second time I have ordered from this brand on Amazon and I love them.., so did/do many of the ladies I attended a class with for two weeks. To my friends, I've called this color "coyote desert" - I could tell they wanted a pair. I have worn these to casual events wherein I was tired of khakis.., with a polo t-shirt, button down with and without a collar it still looks good. The tie strings near the ankle are like laces only I can tuck them inside the material for a neater look. My waist is a scoch under 40 inches (I'm older now and a lil portly) so I ordered a extra large and since I am five foot nine the " regular" length fit just fine. If you are five foot nine. Id recommend a "short". The regular length I ordered could fit someone just a tad shorter than six feet. But I really like the baggy/bagginess as it gives me an extra range of motion; sneakers are fine, so are semi laceddress shoes, but don't wear these with sandals or shoes you wear to the beach. I already have my third pair picked out.

I ordered several pairs of these pants in varying colors about 2 years ago. I wear them daily for work in a factory/warehouse environment. They've held up great, I'm considering getting a couple more pairs so I don't have to do laundry as often. They're a little stiff at first but quickly soften up after a few washings. I first heard about them from a friend who's had a pair for probably 10+ years (although he doesn't wear them as much). Pros: They're incredibly comfortable, fit is great - the breathability is great in the summer heat and they're enough of a relaxed fit that I can layer thermals under them in the winter. Pockets are nice and roomy (though that could be me being used to women's pockets lol). Cons: A couple minor things, 1. the camo ones the pattern is printed on whatever the lighter color is and the dye does fade over time. No completely bald spots even on my friend's that he's had forever, but they do definitely take on a "weathered" look eventually. I haven't had this issue with my solid colors. 2. I have one pair that must have slipped through a quality check or something, when I first got them they had some loose thread ends sticking out that I had to trim here and there. Seams have otherwise stayed solid. The same pair has so far in 2 years had 2 buttons come off, and a 3rd is getting loose. Easy enough to sew buttons back on so I don't mind, and again, none of my other pairs have had any issues so I think it's just a fluke with this one pair. Overall, 5 stars, regularly recommend them to my coworkers and customers!

Alright so.... I've been wearing these pants quite extensively for about a year now. For the price, you can't beat em. I've had to sew some of the crotch buttons back on, but for the most part they're very durable and well made pants. The problem I've had is inconsistency. I ordered the woodland camo digitals this time around and got the acu digitals. I knew right away they weren't what I ordered because the acu's are tan and light grey, and the woodlands are much darker, with green in them. This happened to me once before when I tried to order the black camos and got the blue ones instead. I thought that maybe due to my colorblindness that I was mistaken, but after this time I'm certain that I've been sent the wrong color twice in a row. The other inconsistency is in size. I had some mediums that fit like 34's, and some that fit like 32's. I had to go up a size to the larges, which are listed as being larger in the waist than what I normally wear in regular pants. TLDR: really good for the price but prepare for inconsistency in size and potentially color as well. May also need to resew a button or two here and there. Good pants, might need to resew some buttons.

Good buy. Especially as a big dude. Fits well and they are comfortable. A tad bit baggy but I went a size up. Plenty of space in the pants. I’m definitely ordering another pair

Nice but not the fabric of my company uniform pants choice

I was in the military 35 years ago, and still have dozens of old uniform pants (BDUs and ABUs). And these cargo pants are the closest thing to original authentic military issue. From what I understand, I believe Rothco IS a military supplier. So if you want the real military fit and durability, these are what you want. They have several different camo patterns, as well as standard uniform and safety colours. I currently work on an airport ramp, and the pants take a lot of abuse. The particular airline I work for makes you buy pants from someone else (only because they'll pay for it). But they never fit, are quite uncomfortable (an Adult XL feels like a child's medium), and only last a few months. So I ended up purchasing these Rothco cargo pants instead, and the first pair lasted more than a year and a half before I had to replace them. I swear by them now, and will always purchase from this brand. They might be slight more expensive, but well worth it. Don't bother with anyone else.

I'm male, 5'11" and around 175 - I typically wear a 33-34 waist in jeans. Bought these for yard and home improvement work, etc. Tried the Medium pair first and they fit snug in the waist with the cinch straps completely loose and no belt. Enough room to bend down without the feeling that they were going to rip or pop a button. I think I could have worn them a whole day without belt and they wouldn't have stretched to the point of falling off my hips. I felt like they would be to tight if tucking in a thick shirt and IWB concealed carry is out - figured they would only get tighter after washing/drying. Returned them and bought the Large. Fully buttoned up and the cinch straps loose - I needed a belt to snug up. Cinch straps tight - barley snug enough to stay up without a belt. Definitely the extra room I felt I needed in the waist - but they are much baggier, especially in the thigh and crotch area. Length was perfect on the Medium - and slightly longer on the Large wearing a hiking or athletic shoe. Not so much that they are going to overhang the heel and get stepped on, but a bit longish. I'm hoping a few wash/dry cycles dial these in. They very comfortable and seem well made. I'll update after some use.

Fit was good. A little big but next size probably would have been too small and short. Highly recommend. Washes well.

These pants fit really well, the size chart is accurate. The quality of the material is good, they're pretty durable, and the stitching is strong.

Over the years I have bought various Rothco BDU clothing. Pants, Shorts, Jackets and Shirts. Can not fault the quality and the fit. They are all very well made and are comfortable to wear. These latest purchases were the Smokey Branch BDU Pants. I love this particular camouflage colour. Amazon had a reduced price on these particular items so I purchased several pairs.

Fit perfect for a 32" waist. Little bit snug. Recommend size large if you like pants to fit loose. Arrived in great time. Pants are great quality for the price.
