Received this Mishimoto thermostat in a sealed bag and factory box. Can not even try to install it because the inner rubber seal was damaged and separated from the thermostat plunger hanging on the backside. Bad quality control on this one!!! Called Mishimoto about this but was shoved off back to amazon for any action to be taken. Can't say I'll be buying anything from Mishimoto anymore. Mishimoto DOES NOT take responsibility for there products sold on amazon I guess!!

A bit on the price side for a simple thermostat. But.. VERY well manufactured. This does fit an LS1 with the later model two piece thermostat housing. (same as an LS2) See pic. It is a snug fit with the rubber grommet so work it in slow, it will fit. Also , make sure to align the slot/tab of the thermostat to the housing. Also , the center of the thermostat is larger than the one I removed , so much better flow. Car had a stock 86C stat in it and it ran anywhere from 198 to 205 Now it runs in the high 170's to mid 180's. It appears that this thermostat opens exactly where its supposed to .. around 169-170. Very Quality Piece.

Worked well without needing to change out my radiator in my 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Hybrid. On the weekends I tow a 21’ Aquasport Explorer (cuddly cabin) when we want to hangout in the water for fun and other weekends we go camping with our 23’ Coachmen Freedom Express travel trailer (6000lbs). Upgraded to Mishimoto thermostat to keep the truck running cooler. It works. Before I really couldn’t run above 60mph or the truck was reaching temps I wasn’t comfortable with. Now I can run 70mph on the interstate with no problem.

Update! Mishimoto took ownership of an administrative error that led to my initial negative review. Mishimoto then went above an beyond to communicate the circumstances that led to my less than desirable experiences and made a full hearted effort to resolve. Mishimoto also demonstrated their efforts to correct the occurrence to prevent recurrence. Mishimoto demonstrated to me that they do take customer service seriously and will go above and beyond to resolve. I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars. Item is good quality, using on 2020 Silverado. It might open a tad early but while running 8IN lift and 37s, the 7degree drop is not a selling point. When idling, truck is at 211 and was at 213. In all, good quality but would not depend on this to deliver results as stated. Thanks for fast shipping

Al tenerlo en tus mano notarás que es un repuesto de calidad, muy fácil de instalar y hasta los momentos sin falla en mi Silverado, no note una diferencia en la temperatura del marcador original de la camioneta, pero me tocaría medirlo directamente con el escaner, pero funciona muy bien y hasta los momentos me siento confiado del repuesto.

Works great on a 13 Camaro SS. Runs much cooler now, better power. Quick delivery, says 76 degree, car running at 80, still better then stock.
