I use Squire locks exclusively to secure my shipping containers and other items. They're used several times a day and some of them are 10 years old. I've had Yale and Master Lock and they were fine... until years of weather got to them. Only one time did I have a failure with a Squire and had to cut it off. Turns-out that the older model of solid blue Squire locks would jam if the user pulled down aggressively on it when one or more of the numbers weren't fully aligned. Meaning, ya had to be careful to rotate the wheels precisely before you tried to open it. I heard they addressed this issue in their newer models a few years ago (which I also own). But these solid blue models still come with a mild warning to align the wheels fully before yanking on it. So, it might still be a problem with this model. I bought this solid blue one recently and have had zero problems with it. But, I am careful to align the wheels exactly each time I use it.

Arrived quickly and it's a great product. If you're looking for a gat lock this is great. Very easy to use and the button the bottom allows it to lock with code in.

I bought this lock because I did not want to have to worry about a key and I needed a long neck and this has worked as promised. I have had two of these on my gates for around a year with no malfunctions. I am in So. Cal. and have had no problems with it getting stuck. I did not give it 5 stars because I cannot mix up the combination (to disguise it) while the lock is in the open position.

Squire Padlock with Long Shackle & 4 Wheel Combo. CP50/2.5 Worthless! Buy just about anything else. After entering the combination you have to push the button on the bottom of the lock to get it to open, which is somewhat inconvenient. However, the lock worked perfectly well in hot or rainy weather all through October, but it only lasted one month. After just 32 days it would no longer unlock. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get it unlocked. As a last resort I took a hacksaw to it which took about 8 minutes.

NOTE - EDIT BELOW Bought 2 of these for an external shed and they do the job well. OK, if someone wants to break in these will never stop them but as a security first line deterrent they are fine. Easy to change combination to suit own needs and do the job they were bought for. Sprayed moving parts with a silicone grease to ensure they don't rust over time in wet weather. EDIT 06 APRIL 2022 One of the locks failed and would not lock at all. Supplier did not have a replacement so completed a full refund. Can't fault the seller as the issue was resolved within 24hrs and a full apology received.
