I use it on my little 15 pound Australian Terrier who prefers to walk behind me and the rest of the pack. It's long enough for her to do this (I have it configured so there's a small loop on the end to hold on to). Heavier versions are used to train and walk German Shepard Police Dogs. Unlike, every day leashes that can only be used in one way, these leashes are incredibly versatile.
