My vacuum sealer was on its last legs, not sealing properly, the bag getting caught and not able to be pushed in to activate the sealing, etc. I was actively searching for a new one when I saw this tape. After reading several reviews, I figured it was worth $7 to see if this would fix my problem. I carefully removed the old tape on the machine, which was wrinkled and bubbled up in places, cut this tape to length and applied it. Voila! It was like I had a new machine! No catching, smooth operation and a perfect seal. I highly recommend giving this a try.

We have multiple sealers and multiple types of sealers as we bag, freeze, freeze dry, and can at home. Buying manufacturers' pre-cut replacement seal tapes gives you a guaranteed fit, but is pricey. Buying seal tape on the roll is FAR less expensive and the difference in applying is a matter of seconds. Yup, seconds. I cut a strip and taped it down on my Weston sealer in 15-20 seconds. When buying bulk/rolled PTFE tape, you really just need to know a couple of things: the WIDTH you need (not length, as you would be buying a roll anyway), and whether or not you need it adhesive-backed or not. Most external vacuum sealers (i.e., the non-chamber type) will need adhesive-backed tape. Most impulse sealers will use non-adhesive tape. Good tape. Good adhesion. Good price.

Product as expected. Easy to use. Seems to be functioning well on our vacuum sealer so far.

The product worked as it should the adhesive coating made it much easier to apply. My only problem which I think was my fault is the thickness I didn't check it but that wasn't a problem .

Great product; in fact, I think it's actually better than the original strip that comes with the vacuum sealer. I almost bought a 3 pack of 18" strips for the same price, but then I saw this 30' roll and am very glad I got this. I'm sure I'll never go through the whole thing, but it's nice to know I pretty much have an unlimited supply. It was very easy to apply, and sticky enough that I'm confident it'll hold for plenty of time, if not indefinitely. The quality of the bag seals seems to be every bit a good as the original. I just applied it a couple days before writing this review (12-30-2017). If and when it needs to be replaced, or I have any issues with it, I will update this review.

I have an older Food Saver (V3835) and I have used it a lot with five kids! The heating tape started to have gaps where it wouldn’t seal. I’d seal the bags over and over and turning them. Finally I decided to get a new Food Saver. But I looked up this tape and my husband installed it. I think he might’ve looked at a You Tube. My Food Saver works good as new! I think you need to be careful cleaning the surface before reinstalling the tape and make sure you have even pressure to get all the bubbles out. But do get this tape if you’re having sealing issues. It’s well worth the price!

Good Product

I have the Weston 65-0601-W PRO-1100 Stainless Steel Vacuum Sealer and this tape is slightly too narrow for it. The tape covers the heat bar, but it does not extend to the edge of the base that is above and below the bar, so it is not affixed to the machine as well as it should be. The original tape is about 1/16 inch wider and it covered the heat bar and affixed firmly to the the base on the top and bottom. The original tape is significantly thicker too. It seems to be O.K. for the price, but it does not meet OEM specifications for my machine and it is not OEM quality.

My vacuum sealer wasn’t working very well. My husband took of the strip that was on the machine and replaced it with this adhesive. Just like a brand new sealer. Makes everything seal very tight again!

The original was easy to remove (one needs to be careful not to warp the element). As easy to use as any type of tape. Cut the length needed, align properly and press on. There is enough in a roll to replace it over 30 times. Extremely satisfied. Bags had started to stick. I suspect this will last as long as the original (7-8 years). The alternative was to replace my unit. $$ + not environnement responsible. This is the way to go. (My foodsaver unit works as well as when it was out of the box new)
