Cure all for sink drain plunger assembly failure.
Have an older set up where the drain pull/push rod assembly came apart and would have to replace a very old but decent shape American Standard and just had the, no longer attached drain "plug" laying in place, held up by a make shift spacer. Esthetically it was just "fine" while we are budgeting the final part of our condominium renovation; the master bath, for hopefully next summer/fall. Didn't know these existed a few months ago, so was debating ro leave as is, or spend a couple of bucks to remove the older pieces completely and add this in, in place. Was cheap enough and Amazon's fairly liberal return policy, went for it. Worked almost completely perfect. Backed off the highest retaining nut from the base of the sink drain easilly. Then removed the p trap [tail pipe receiving nut], tilted the now nearly removed original tail pipe and went in and loosened the sliding adjuster boly that holds the old plunger assembling and pulled the thin down rod out through the top, while the adjuster metal strap fell off. I would say, save the old tailpipe receiving nut, because there may be a difference in diameter and may not fit the new tail piece, which mine was different sizing. Cleaned everything up nice, reassembled and resumed the tailpipe receiving nut and checked for leaks. Done. Estimated DIY time from start to finish; 17 minutes. The fact that these stop gap replacements exist tells you they are a higher fail item, especially in older yet functional bathroom sinks. Was nice to not have to add new sink drain set up to something that will be renovated in the upcoming year. This is a perfect, easy DIY. I just had to use one tool--- channel lock locking pliers. If you havent addressed undersink repair, plenty of youtube videos to get you started. Just be prepared to maybe reuse the one part, as I did. I would also say, I've learned to always use plumbers putty when setting metal to porcelain but wasnt needed. Had a washer that seated perfectly at the sink bowl recessed drain cap, and drop the stem down into the cabinent and line everything up after removing any/all mechanisms that are now no longer relevant with the new push button set-up. Great product.

Great replacement/upgrade to old drains that have a pull stopper.
The Moen drains on our bathroom faucets were about done. Constant clogging and finish starting to deteriorate. They were the old style with pull up lever mechanism to engage the stopper. These new pop-up drains are all metal, much higher quality than the old drains and were super easy to install. The brushed nickel finish is slightly more shiny than the ones they replaced but I believe will dull over time. They don't leak and I like that I can pull the basket to clean out any hair or items that fall into the sink before they make it to the p-trap. You would never notice that they weren't the original drain assemblies as the size is the same and quality easily matches or exceeds the OEM.

Well made.
Very well made. I think it showed it was made out of stainless steel. Very easy to install and has good hair trap.

Good quality materials and workmanship but the stopper leaks
I bought one of these drain kits and then lost it in the garage (I'm sure it's out there somewhere, but I can't find it) so I ordered another one, based on my inspection of the first one when it was first received. This unit is well made and finished, constructed using quality materials. It feels solid and substantial (not thin and flimsy). Once I had the second one, I installed it right away so I wouldn't lose it again. It was easy to install, and the drain gaskets (above and below) seal well with no leaks. I like the way the stopper works. The mechanism feels solid and operates with a nice feel and a slight click to let you know it engaged or released. I like the strainer basket that will catch anything dropped into the sink (jewelry, etc.). My one quibble is that the stopper gasket (the one around the stopper that engages the inside surface of the drain) should be slightly larger - it leaks so the water drains out of the sink over about a 15 minute period. There's no way to soak something in the sink overnight (or even for an hour). I've tried to find a replacement for this gasket but there is no easy way to contact the manufacturer for service (just a self-help trouble shooting guide that doesn't cover this situation). My general impression is high quality but no service. You just have to choose what's important to you.

Works great with my new sink and touchless faucet
My Plumber installed this for me, but it looks really nice and he did not complain about its quality or fit so I guess it was a win. I used it with a touchless faucet. Looks really smart. It fits well and seem to seal well no problems. No leaks drains well and the stopper function works well. The sink drains nicely but a good speed.

Very nice, heavy duty construction
I bought a couple of Moen bathroom fixtures and the included drain assemblies, although they worked, were mostly made of plastic. After just a few months the pop-up action was not as effective, the drain cover plate looks terrible and they just look cheap overall. So I bought these drain assemblies. OMG are they built well! The wall thickness of the upper part of the drain pipe is so thick that these things will probably outlast the sink, bathroom and house you install them in. The silicone gaskets included seem well made. I have not installed these yet but just the construction alone suggests they fit install and operate flawlessly and for a very long time! Plus they just look nice, far better than the OEM Moen ones.

Great quality and value with easy installation
My existing lever operated drain was leaking. It was a Moen unit but made out of plastic... Cheap! This new pop up drain arrived next day. I was very happy seeing it was made of metals. I was also happy to see that this new drain didn't require any plumbers putty to install. quick removal of old drain and a little cleanup. New drain installed easily. No cutting of the pipe needed. Works as intended. I hope it lasts as good as it looks
