Buying this for my husbad, so sorry for the uninformed question.. Can it grill just by electricity alone? Without pellets?

I was using my Z grill last night and the pellets ran out and it stopped heating/cooking. I don't think it will work with out the pellets.

How much pellets and how long would it take to do a 13 pound turkey?

My 3 to 4 lbs of pellets. About 1 1/2 hopper of pellets and 6 hrs at 180°. Comes out tender and good smoked flavor. Our family requests we do the turkey.
