RSVP International Endurance Kitchen Shaker Collection Dishwasher Safe, All Purpose, 11 ounce, Stainless Steel

Hubby loves air popped popcorn... but needed a delivery system for the popcorn salt he loves so he doesn't end up DROWNING the popcorn in salt, causing it to be inedible! This fine mesh shaker is nicely made, and really has a fine mesh suitable even for fine popcorn salt. I'd buy it again... in fact, I may need one for my powdered sugar :). My purpose in reviewing this and other items is only to provide my honest opinion based on my experience with the item. Therefore, the opinions expressed herein are my own, based on my personal experience with this product and my perceived utility of the product as well as its value for the cost. Good quality shakers.

Very pleased. I had a bit of puzzle to solve to get the metal lid off the first time, but now it's a breeze. I'm using this to hold my rub for ribs and pork shoulders. The mixture tends to clump and the shaker needs a couple of mild "thumps" to get it flowing, but this isn't the fault of the device; brown sugar just does that all on its own. Once it's "thumped" I can apply my rub as lightly or as heavily as I want without pork-y fingers spoiling the whole batch. The convenient plastic lid keeps out dust and the very occasional ant that finds its way into our cabinets in the summer. It also prevents condensation building up on the surface of the shaker when the weather turns humid. Some reviewers have noted that their plastic lids are a bit loose, but mine fits snugly. Mine has traveled through the dishwasher five or six times now, and I've yet to see any discoloration or rust. Granted, I dry mine as soon as the cycle is finished, but still: so far so good. I plan on using one of my new ones to hold butter powder (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XUXJPSW?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-ontype-md_k0_7_18&amp=&crid=3HEU965TE19CZ&amp=&sprefix=anthony+butter+pow) that we love to sprinkle on our popcorn. The other is destined for kosher salt usage; the plastic cover will be invaluable to keep moisture out. Highly recommend this style/brand if you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-clean shaker for your kitchen!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Lids are hard to get on and off, but otherwise they’re great

This nicely made shaker (I use it for grated cheese - the holes are the perfect size!) was a terrific purchase. Great price for the quality, prompt service/shipping and a nice feature with the tightly fitting plastic top to keep air & moisture out & the cheese in! I read the reviews before I purchased & some buyers had trouble removing the metal shaker top after filling the shaker. I recommend looking at the 2 little indents at the top of the shaker before you use it. They should line up with the two metal spurs on the inside of the shaker metal top. Slide down & twist just a little to lock the shaker top. Reverse the process when you want to fill the shaker or de-clump the cheese! I had no trouble with either the metal top or the plastic cover on the metal top. Nice looking stainless steel shaker. Could be used for hot pepper flakes as well! I think I talked myself into ordering another one!!! 🤣 Jim M

Works perfectly with Frontier's Coarse ground black pepper. I'm not that fond of the plastic cap. In getting it off you can easily open the can. So now I am just resting the cap on top. But I do think the cap will keep the pepper fresher.

These are nice, stainless steel, stove top salt and pepper shakers. The quality is very good, and the fit and finish is surprisingly nice. The holes aren't too large and are well placed...so that you get a good sprinkle, but not too much. But, remember, these aren't table shakers, so be careful when you use the salt shaker if you're salting an individual plate. We like them so much, that we're getting a set for each of our daughters. What else can I say... Update, February 24, 2013. The shakers are still performing as advertised. No rust on the salt shaker as has been reported by other reviewers. I will note that our home has lower to normal humidity, and that this may account for the lack of corrosion. Just about everything will rust, even stainless steel, given the right circumstances. Remember, stainless doesn't mean rustproof...maybe just rust resistant.

The lid on the salt shaker was impossible to remove even with a lid remover aid. Do not buy this!

Splashes the content around! I have even sealed 2/3 of holes with a tape so the ingredients comes from one side but still speeding around!

Great set screw top easy to refill.

Holds a good quantity. That easy living quality, labelled clearly. Handles for easy pour. Blends with all colour tablecloths.

This is a very high quality product. The top fastens securing with a locking system, the mesh ensures fine powder comes out onto drinks/food. My only complaint is (and this is not necessarily product specific I suppose), when you place the plastic cover over the top, it creates a vacuum effect which sucks a bunch of powder from inside and you're left with a cloud of whatever you put in. It also means a lot of the dust that is trapped ends up on the top of the shaker. See the images i've attached to the review. Overall I'm happy with this purchase, even if it was almost double what most shakers cost.

What a nice little item, holes in it are perfect for grated cheese and the cover prevents moisture.
