They have staied bright white even after 2 months of having wrote on the tires and they don't wear or wipe off easily. That being said that is also a down fall, if I need to renumber a used tire it takes a lot of paint thinner and some elbow grease to get the old numbers off there. You have about 5 minutes after marking where it will just rub off with a rag or your finger and after that you got some scrubbing to do!! It doesn't take long to wear down. They are small enough to mark on smaller tread blocks and last a long time not faded by sun or dirt. I also use to mark air brake adjustments and damaged parts.
