When using these on gel, is it best to apply before the top coat or on top of it?

Apply top coat after to seal the sticker. Be sure to press the sticker firmly on the layer prior to top coat but cure sticker, top coat and cure once more. It lasts 3-4 weeks.

Has anyone else had a problem with the stickers curling? I followed instructions and did a layer of clear polish. Laid the sticker into it while wet.

I had the same issue, it happens if the polish is still wet. The stickers work way better on fully dry polish and then covered by the top coat.

Can I use without polish?

My purpose in buying these stickers was not to use on nails but to use with resin crafting. I don’t have a nail experience to offer. Good luck.

Why is it suggested not to use gel polish?

I am not sure why you cannot use gel polish. I use my regular polish (which is not gel based) and seal using a clear top coat.
