Men's 511 Slim Fit Jeans

Nice fitting!

I will never walk into a JCPenney's or Sears store again and try and find my size, which I usually never can because they've been picked over and the best taken. They seem to never fit properly. Thought I would have to be stuck buying inferior Lee jeans after the Mexican made Levi's I bought 5 or 7 years ago. Took a chance on these from Amazon, and am happy I did. Levi buyer forever as long as they keep putting quality like this out. All four pairs I bought through amazon fit perfectly right out of the box. These are made in egypt, which to me seems to give them a softer feel, unlike the Levi jeans I bought online from Sears a few years ago (which were made in Mexico. Out of 4 pair, I only have one pair that did not rip at the pockets in the back - one actually ripped 12 inches just bending over after only 2 months. They were the thinnest jeans I have ever bought.) Long story short, never buy jeans from Sears online - you will get crap quality. These jeans feel thicker than the jeans from Sears. Yet have a softer, more comfortable feel to them. Perfect fit. Even after wearing for a week almost everyday, they have still kept their form. Their is a slight odor from what I expect is starch. So you will have to wash them soon after buying. Unless you want to smell like you have a dead mouse in your pocket. Hate the smell of fresh dry cleaned clothes. Nasty. That is the only thing I did not like about the jeans. Easy to fix after one wash though. I would recommend these jeans to anyone who loves their Levi's like I do. Lee and Wrangler Who! Great fit... if only they rode at the natural waist. I know, I know... they were described as riding on the hip. Still, I wish there were jeans that fit like these in both the ("skinny") hips and rode at the natural waist. For now, they are the best fit I can get.

Fit and finish is excellent on these, nice to know Levi's are still quality. As a trim 64 year old, they're kinda creepy on me - If I was still 40, yes... I cycle a fair amount, so my calves are disproportionally thick and they grab my calves -they are definitely "skinny" jeans. I saw reviews saying they has some breathing room so took a chance - I'm in between sizes and sized down, as they have some stretch, (very little), as my older jeans (non-stretch) are all getting a bit saggy after 10+ years of wear. I'd size-up were it not for the narrow skinny ankles (I'm a 70's child - well, 60's actually). Waist is perfect though.

I'll start with what I don't like; Waist band to bottom of zipper or crotch areas on 3 pairs of various sizing are so very horribly short, my 505's and others have generous length in this area so belt/waist is just an inch or two from belly button, if you want it to be, so you have options there. These 511's are VERY uncomfortable in this area due to the shortness, they ride much more on the hip, not the waist where they should be. Maybe they save money in manufacturing, because it is quite a bit less material going into the pants. The sizing of the waist is pretty good, but when I went 1'' up in waist, the legs ballooned way out, and were no where even near slim anymore. As for the inseams, I think they just put tags on almost randomly, like a pair of 28 29's inseam seemed to come out about 27 1/2 when measured accurately (from leg seam T intersection, not zipper as some seem to think lol) and a pair of 28 30's are just about 27 1/2 also lol. The GOOD things with these 511's is the stretch but again kind of ruined by the short-hip, belt height. The variety of colors are great, I have one pair, I guess indigo, it is kind of breath taking as to the depth and shade of the color. Another good thing for me is that having bought amazon's brand of slim jeans a while back thinking they would be fantastic, only to discover that the hips/thighs were really ballooned out as if they were made for women, not men. The hip and thigh areas of my 511's are great with the exception, as mentioned, when I went a mere 1'' larger in waist the legs and thighs were no longer anywhere near slim. The material seems to be quite robust and should hold up pretty well.

J'ai commandé ce Jean à cause de sa longueur de jambe de 29'' que je n'ai pas trouvé ailleurs. J'ai toujours acheté des longueurs standards de 30'' mais c'est trop long pour moi.

Un contact avec le vendeur m'a permis de me tranquilliser avec une certaine inquiétude. Le vendeur est très commercial, il est là pour vraiment aider le client, pendant nos échanges j'avais l'impression d'être un Roi!!! C'était une expérience incroyable de traiter avec ce vendeur, je le recommande fortement.
